• To easily Xyz Summon this card:
  • Use the effect of "Wind-Up Rat" to Summon "Wind-Up Rabbit", "Wind-Up Dog", or another copy of "Wind-Up Rat;
  • Saber Decks can use "X-Saber Airbellum", "XX-Saber Darksoul", "XX-Saber Emmersblade" and "XX-Saber Fulhelmknight";
  • Nordic Decks can use "Tanngnjostr of the Nordic Beasts" and "Tanngrisnir of the Nordic Beasts";
  • You can use "Creature Swap" with a "Hyena" that you control, destroy it in battle and use its effect to Special Summon two others from your Deck
  • Normal Summon "Marauding Captain" and use its effect to summon another copy of itself, or any other Level 3 EARTH monster from your hand
  • (Takes a few turns, but) Set "Bubonic Vermin", then flip it next turn to get another one Set, then flip that one the following turn (and get another).
  • Special 1 (or more) "Gilasaurus" from your hand via its effect (better for earlier in the Duel, before any monsters are in your opponent's Graveyard).
  • Special Summon "Junk Defender" when you are attacked directly; Summon another Level 3 EARTH monster your following turn.

• Use "Marauding Captain" and "Dandylion" to quickly summon this card. Detach "Dandylion" for the first effect, then use its second effect to summon a tuner, then Synchro Summon using one or both "Fluff Tokens".

• Summon "Card Trooper" and activate "Machine Duplication" to quickly Xyz Summon this card.

• Summon "Madolche Mewfeuille", then use its effect to Special Summon "Madolche Baaple" to place a powerful monster in Defense position. Overlay the two to Xyz Summon this card, and activate its effect to block an opponent's Trap Card. Destroy the monster forced into Defense position, then revive the Xyz Material you just detached. This will not only help you keep field presence, but also keep your Graveyard clean for cards like "Madolche Puddingcess" and "Madolche Tea Break".

• This card can be used with "Rank-Up-Magic Astral Force" to Xyz Summon "Number C106: Giant Red Hand".
• A Level 3 "Magnet Warrior" deck with "Sentry Soldier of Stone" can summon not only this card easily, but also "Gorgonic Guardian", which can help this monster use its second effect easier.
• This card works well in a Superheavy Samurai deck, as most of their monsters, especially cards like "Superheavy Samurai Big Benkei", are EARTH attribute and benefit from being in defense position.
