"Tempest, Dragon Ruler of Storms":
  • This card can easily set up an Xyz Summon for a Rank 7 monster in a "Harpie" Deck with "Harpie's Pet Dragon" or "Harpie Channeler". It may also use its third effect to search for one of the "Harpie" Dragons.
  • Use this as material for the Fusion Summon of "Five-Headed Dragon" using "Dragon's Mirror" and you can immediately replace it with another or any other WIND Dragon.
    • "Chain Material" is also an excellent option. Although "Five-Headed Dragon" won't be able to attack, you can use the effect without needing the Dragons in-hand.
      • If "Chain Material" is used in a Deck with all the "Dragon Rulers", you can banish all of them from your Deck, add copies to your hand and have ample material to activate many of their effects.
  • In a "Disaster Dragon" Deck, you can send this card to the Graveyard along with "Red-Eyes Wyvern" and search for ""Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon" then you can Summon any Dragon-Type monster, banish it for "REDMD", then use its effect to revive this card.
    • You can also use this effect to access other "Dragon Rulers" necessary from your Deck.
  • This card works well in "Dragunity" Decks since most of the archetype has WIND and Dragon monsters.
    • Since "Dragon Ravine" cannot search out "Dragunity Arma Mystletainn", which is a key part of a lot of the "Dragunity" Deck's strongest first turn plays, use "Gold Sarcophagus" to banish this card, and then add "Mystletainn" from your Deck to your hand. Then all you need is a "Dragon Ravine" and a "Dragunity Phalanx" and you can Summon a "Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon", a "Hieratic Dragon King of Atum" and any generic Level 8 Synchro Monster in one turn.
      • You will also get this card into your hand 2 turns later so you can either Summon it, or use one of its other effects.
  • This card, combined with "Ritual Beast Ulti-Cannahawk" can provide near-infinite searching combo and recurring 2400 ATK monster each turn.
  • Combo between "Lightning, Dragon Ruler of Drafts" and "Gusto Griffin" can instantly bring this card to the field for instant Level 8 or higher Synchro Summon.
