* [[Vengeful Bog Spirit]] works extremely well with this card, as it ensures the opponent will not be able to attack before their monsters have become significantly weakened.
** In addition, since all your Venom monsters will be busy placing Venom counters, this will not be a detriment to your overall strategy. 

* [[Field Barrier]] is recommended when using this card, as Venom monsters in general are rather weak offensively.

* Be careful of [[Caius the Shadow Monarch]] with field barrier, otherwise you'll have no swamp and your own field barrier blocking their activation.
