  • Part of this card's Japanese name is a subtle corruption of the Japanese name of "Number 39: Utopia": while the kanji of both cards' names are pronounced identically as Kibōō (きぼうおう), the Japanese name of "Utopia" is written 「ぼうおう」, while this card's name is written 「ぼうおう」.
  • This card is the first monster in the "Barian" archetype.
    • This card is also the first "CXyz" monster used by a Barian Emperor in the anime.
  • This card has some distinctions compared to other "CXyz" monsters.
    • It is the only "CXyz" monster to have the same Overlay Units as the "Number C" monsters, likely because it inherited the combined power of the "Number C10X" monsters.
    • It is the only "CXyz" monster not to have a specific base form, though it can be stated that all the 7 "Number C10X" monsters are its base forms.
    • It is the only "CXyz" monster to have been Summoned through a regular Xyz Summon, as opposed to any method of Xyz Evolution.
  • This monster's attack name in the original Japanese version of the Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL anime, "Land Chariot Slash", is a reference to "Grand Chariot", one of the French names for the Big Dipper asterism that the Seven Barian Emperors are based on.
  • This monster bears a very noticeable resemblance to the Sazabi of Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack, with its red color scheme, skirt armor, large shield, and yellow two-bladed weapon. This monster was also played against "Number 39: Utopia Beyond" in the anime, whose Japanese name is close to that of the film's ending theme, "Beyond the Time".
