Card Trivia:Junk Warrior
- This is the cover card for Starter Deck 2008/Starter Deck: Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's, Duelist Pack: Yusei, and is also one of the cover cards for Structure Deck: Synchron Extreme/Synchron Extreme Structure Deck, Animation Chronicle 2023, and Maze of Millennia.
- This monster appears in the artworks of "Clashing Souls", "Dimension Voyage", "Give and Take", "Scrap Fist", "Speed Spell - Synchro Return", "Synch Blast Wave", "Synchro Chase", "Synchro Deflector", "Synchro Gazer", "Synchro Spirits", "Synchro Strike", and "Urgent Tuning".
- This card's second artwork is based on a scene in Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's episode On Your Mark, Get Set, DUEL!" showing 1: "this monster being Summoned.
- This card and "Stardust Dragon" are Yusei Fudo's signature Synchro Monsters in the Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's anime.
- This card could actually be seen as the personification of Yusei, due to its ability to draw strength from the weak much like Yusei draws strength from his friends.
- This card was the first Synchro Monster to require a specific Tuner monster for its Synchro Summon, as well as one of the first Synchro Monsters to be released in the TCG, alongside "Gaia Knight, the Force of Earth" and "Colossal Fighter".
- This monster seems to have been intended as a specific Synchro Monster of "Speed Warrior" and "Junk Synchron", as seen in "Urgent Tuning" and "Synchro Strike".
- This is further suggested in the Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's anime, as almost every time "Junk Warrior" was Synchro Summoned by Yusei, "Junk Synchron" and "Speed Warrior" were used to Summon it.
- This card was the first Synchro Monster to be released in Starter Deck 2009 with Common as its rarity.
- This monster is similar to Jaden Yuki's "Elemental HERO Flame Wingman" due to the fact that this was Yusei's main monster before getting "Stardust Dragon" back just as "Elemental HERO Flame Wingman" was Jaden's signature card before acquiring "Elemental HERO Neos".
- This card was the first and last Synchro Monster Yusei Fudo Summoned in the Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's anime.
- This card is also the featured card of the first and last episode of Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's.
- On some printings, this monster's armor is blue instead of purple.
- In Bonds - Kizuna, the first opening song of Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's, the words "JUNK WARRIOR ATK 2300" are briefly displayed from inside Yusei's helmet visor; this is one of the few opening song details that is retained in the international release of the anime.
- This monster did not appear for over 30 episodes after Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's episode The Edge of Elimination, Part 3", until it finally was 102: "Summoned in the last episode where Yusei used its ATK-gaining effect to defeat Jack Atlas.
- The victory of this monster over "Red Dragon Archfiend" in the last episode can be interpreted as its payback after being beaten by "Red Dragon Archfiend" in the first season.
- This monster bears a strong resemblance to Eightron from the anime DT Eightron (both have a football shaped head, made from trash, wears a scarf and are melee combatants.)
- This monster's signature attack, Scrap Fist, was directly homaged in the first episode of the anime Senki Zessho Symphogear G, in which protagonist Hibiki Tachibana enlarged her right arm and engaged a set of brass knuckles, then rocketed forward with boosters on her back and a scarf trailing behind in a fashion identical to the typical stock footage of this monster. The two series have the same director, Katsumi Ono.
