- This monster appears in the artworks of "Big Wave Small Wave" and "Break! Draw!"
- "Levia" is based on the Leviathan, a sea monster described as a large serpent in the Book of Job.
- "Daedalus" is a reference to the HMS Daedalus, a 19th century warship that reported the sighting of a giant sea serpent.
- This monster has five counterparts:
- An "infant" counterpart: "Codarus"
- An advanced counterpart: "Ocean Dragon Lord - Neo-Daedalus"
- A "Chaos" counterpart: "Chaos Daedalus"
- A "Lightray" counterpart: "Lightray Daedalus"
- A "Metaphys" counterpart: "Metaphys Daedalus"
- This is the first Legend Effect Monster to be used in the Yu-Gi-Oh! SEVENS anime.
- In some of its Spanish prints, the card's lore uses the word "enviar" instead of "mandar", which is the word used in the Spanish TCG for "send".
