  • This monster and "Number 13: Embodiment of Crime" are based on the Biblical story of Cain and Abel, the first and second sons of Adam and Eve. According to Genesis 4:1-8, Cain committed the first murder by killing Abel. The opposite position of their numbers further allude to this.
    • The reference this card makes to Abel takes on additional meaning in the context of this card's debut in the manga. This monster appeared out of Shark's Extra Deck after Kaito Tenjo reduced his Life Points to below half - in short, Shark played the role of Abel when he was "killed" by Kaito (Cain) during the Duel.
  • The TCG names of this card and "Number 13: Embodiment of Crime" may be derived from the title of the novel "Crime and Punishment" by Fyodor Dostoyevsky.
    • In particular, the TCG name of this card references God punishing Cain for murdering Abel.
