- The kanji Saidan (
裁 断 ) in this card's Japanese name can mean both "cutting" and "judgement", referring to this monster's blades and its title of "judge".- This monster may also be inspired by Minos, a mythical king of the island of Crete, who fathered the Minotaur and became a judge of the underworld after his death. In the anime, this card was guarded by Battle Ox, a monster based on the Minotaur.
- It also reflects Vector's personality beneath Don Thousand's corruption, as judges are generally associated with justice and righteousness, like how Vector originally wanted peace for every nearby kingdom.
- Fittingly, in the Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL anime, this monster's neutral form was similar to a pair of scissors.
- This monster has an upgraded "Number C" form: "Number C65: King Overfiend".
- This is the first Mythyrian Number to have a "Number C" form.
- This is the only Mythyrian Number to have never manifested as a Monster Spirit in the anime.
- In the OCG/TCG, this is the first Rank 2 Xyz Monster to require specific Xyz Materials.
