  • This card's name, "Odd-Eyes Absolute Dragon", is a reference to absolute zero, the lowest temperature theoretically possible.
  • This card has an opposite counterpart: "Odd-Eyes Meteorburst Dragon".
    • This card is a WATER Xyz Monster, while "Odd-Eyes Meteorburst Dragon" is a FIRE Synchro Monster.
    • This monster has its left eye surrounded by an icicle spike, while "Odd-Eyes Meteorburst Dragon" has its right eye highlighted by a golden flame.
    • Both monsters have mirrored poses in their card artworks.
    • Both monsters have effects that can Special Summon other monsters. "Meteroburst" has only one that it is used on Special Summon, and loses its ability to attack that turn when it does, but can summon any Pendulum Monster from the Pendulum Zones. "Absolute" has two. The first can be used as long as it has a material to detach when any monster declares an attack, negating that attack in the process, but can only summon an "Odd-Eyes" monster from hand or the GY. The second is used when "Absolute" is sent from the field to the GY, where it summons any "Odd-Eyes" monster from the Extra Deck.
  • Out of the four elemental Odd Eyes monsters of different Monster card Types, ("Absolute", "Meteorburst", "Vortex", and "Gravity") this is the only one who does not have an effect on Special Summon, instead it is the only one with an effect that activates when it is sent to the GY (from the field).
