  • This card is named after Timaeus, the first part of Plato's trilogy of dialogues, which serve as the source of myths pertaining to the lost city of Atlantis.
    • This card is based on the dragon form of Timaeus, one of the three legendary knights of Atlantis who was transformed into his dragon form by Dartz to weaken him during the Battle of Atlantis. This card's name is based on how Timaeus was sealed away in crystal by a sword sticking in its right eye.
  • This is the only "Legendary Dragon" card whose OCG/TCG effect can be used to Special Summon a Fusion Monster that does not specifically require a "Legendary Dragon" card as material.
