Card Trivia:Thousand Dragon
- This card has a younger version: "Hundred Dragon".
- This card's Fusion Materials, "Baby Dragon" and "Time Wizard", is a reference to the Yu-Gi-Oh! manga and anime where "Baby Dragon" would age to "Thousand Dragon" if "Time Wizard" successfully used its effect. This method of summoning was to be later translated more accurately to the card game with "Dark Sage".
- This card is one of the two first Fusion Monsters to be released in a TCG Starter Deck, the other being "Flame Swordsman". They were both released in Starter Deck: Joey.
- This card, "Flame Swordsman", and "Giltia the D. Knight" are among the three monsters used by Joey Wheeler in the Duelist Kingdom arc whose card types were changed to Fusion Monster types upon their release in the OCG/TCG.
- This is one of the few cards in the game that lacks an 8-digit passcode.
- Secret Rare cards are supposed to feature their foil in a top-right-to-bottom-left direction, whereas this card's Secret Rare rarity features its foil in the top-left-to-bottom-right direction.
- This card's first OCG/TCG artwork and second OCG artwork are taken from Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel 70 (Duelist Duel 11): "Things that Don't Change" and Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel 122 (Duelist Duel 63): "Betting to Win!", respectively. They are specifically taken from the panels showing the final result of "Baby Dragon" being affected by "Time Wizard".
