The End Phase (Japanese: エンドフェイズ Endofeizu) is the final phase of the turn. It occurs after Main Phase 2 (or Main Phase 1 if no Battle Phase was conducted) has been completed.

Many card effects apply during the End Phase, such as "Change of Heart" and "Power Bond". The turn player gets to decide the order to apply their maintenance costs and/or effects that apply or activate at this time.
+
Once Main Phase 2 (or Main Phase 1 if no Battle Phase was conducted) has been completed, the player proceeds to the End Phase. Players can still set cards and use card effects during this phase. Any card effects that resolve in this Phase now take effect, such as "Change of Heart" or "Brain Control". The Turn Player gets to decide in which order any effect resolves. In addition, the Turn Player may also have to pay maintenance costs for cards such as "Clear World."

At the end of the End Phase, if the turn player has more cards in their hand than the hand size limit (normally 6), they must discard cards until their hand satisfies the hand size limit.
+
If the Turn Player has seven or more cards in his hand at this time, he/she must discard to the Graveyard cards until they have only six cards in their hand. This action is the very last thing to happen in any End Phase.

Any action that states "at the end of the turn", such as the expiration of the effect of "Effect Veiler", is done at the very end of this phase, after discarding cards to adjust to the hand size limit if the number of cards exceed this.
+
If an action is to be taken "at the end of the End Phase", such as the wear-off of the temporary 3000 ATK boost of "Theinen the Great Sphinx", it is, predictably, the very last thing to happen in this Phase before the Hand Limit Discard occurs.

Trivia
+
Trivia: The End Phase is the only phase that cannot be skipped by a card effect, unless the entire turn gets skipped.
*The End Phase is the only phase that cannot be skipped by a card effect in the TCG/OCG, unless the entire turn gets skipped.
