Sit down kids, it's story time. I was looking on eBay today and looking up cards I want. I found a lot of cards I wanted, some for $14 to $16, some for only $1, and even one for 50 cents (not including shipping). Then I thought "I wonder what a Judgment Dragon would cost me?" I like dragon cards the most, and though I would probably never use it, I wouldn't mind having a Judgment Dragon for my collection. So I looked it up, and once I got past all the grabbags, Japanese versions, and obvious fakes, I came to the first real deal TCG Judgment Dragon sale. Know what it cost? $107.95 plus shipping! Who the hell would pay that kind of money for a card?! That's not all of course, That's my question. Who out there is willing to spend that much for a card to beat someone in a card game? Is this just ignorance on my part and I'm missing a point or does this seem a little ridiculous to people out there?

(Also, don't rant at me about not wanting to use a card like that. I don't like Lightsworns or Light/Dark combinations. It's a personal decision.) Land of dogs 21:03, February 13, 2010 (UTC)

  • You'd probably be better off buying $107 worth of booster packs. EgyptianGods 00:00, February 14, 2010 (UTC)

Even $107 dollars worth of Boosters probably wouldn't net you a Judgment Dragon, i'm afraid to say.--Akiza Izayoi 04:12, February 14, 2010 (UTC)

Correction: $107.95 plus shipping, making it like $115-$120 worth of boosters, lol. This is why I make decks out of commons.--SantaOrc26 (Talk) 22:44, February 14, 2010 (UTC)

judgment dragon isnt worth that much however User:Lord of Amphibians

www.yugiohmint.com This is a great site for finding amazing deals on Yu-Gi-Oh! Cards (and more) Unfortunately for you Judgment Dragon is still $90 for its lesser of its two rarities, and is out of stock, or you could always get the Ultimate Rare version priced at...you guessed it, $107 USD. Good Luck scoring one of these.

Thanks for the site. I'll take a look. I still think it's crazy though. I like this game, but I'm not willing to pay that much money for a card. I'd rather take my chances and get the packs, at least then I get the stuff that holds every deck together, common cards (I love Heart of Clear Water and Mirage Dragon). Then again, I guess if your a collector it makes since. I guess it's a tournament player meta-deck thing. Land of dogs 00:16, February 15, 2010 (UTC)

Some people are willing to pay the price. I mean if you wanna run LS and you wanna win (cause you gotta consider that theres real money on the table at tourneys) then you are going to need a Judgement Dragon and probally need 2. Not to mention you said its a "childrens card game" why is it that Yu-gi-oh gets this reputation along with Pokemon but Magic and others like Starwars. Hell i dont even see the Bleach or Naruto card games get that kinda wrap for some reason.

I'm not saying it is worth it. Hell if you have a friend who doesn't know the monetary value of JD, buy it for 30 dollars, and make a 70 dollar return on it ^^ (or keep it.) Personally I've never worried to much about lightsworns, but then again my Crystal Beasts have never squared off against them.
