Every time I come on this wiki, I am going to post an interesting question in this thread. :)

Question 1: What were the main top decks in the meta game of 2007?------

Question 2: What was the first set of structure decks to be released?------

1) The game is always diverse. There is no "top deck." Even in the Chaos era, there were people with other decks. However, the top deck was a deck revolving around Light and Darkness Dragon.

2) There were two Structure Decks released simultaneously. In the TCG, they were Dragon's Roar and Zombie Madness (and I own both). In the OCG, they were Structure Decks Yugi and Kaiba.

Also, do not ignore the line that says "Be sure to sign your edits with four tildes." --GoldenSandslash15 04:06, January 5, 2010 (UTC)

Question 3: What were the first ever synchro monsters?------

92.1.37.67 08:20, January 5, 2010 (UTC)

Released in the TCG were Junk Warrior, Colossal Fighter, and Gaia Knight, the Force of Earth.--Akiza Izayoi 12:43, January 5, 2010 (UTC)

Question 4:What was the name of the card that was banned for "pretty much reseting the game" 92.1.37.67 19:05, January 5, 2010 (UTC)

Not positive about that one, but it was probably Fiber Jar. Vulpine 21:31, January 5, 2010 (UTC)

Indeed it was. --GoldenSandslash15 04:03, January 6, 2010 (UTC)

Question 5: What structure deck has a card inside it valued more then the actual deck itself?

Structure Deck 12: Curse of Darkness has Crush Card Virus, but that might not be it if you were referring to TCG Structure Decks only. --Blue (Talk) 19:14, January 6, 2010 (UTC)

There are a lot of TCG Structure Decks that have popular/powerful cards in, and many with more than one Rare card. 88.107.56.53 20:12, January 6, 2010 (UTC)

Question 6: Name 2 level 4 or lower monsters that say in there card text "Cannot be normal summoned or set"

Wulf, Lightsworn Beast and The Rock Spirit. --Blue (Talk) 21:07, January 6, 2010 (UTC)
How about Rare Metal Dragon? --FredCat100 21:08, January 6, 2010 (UTC)

Question 7: Which trump card out of one of the meta decks is currently semi limited?

Judgment Dragon --Blue (Talk) 20:29, January 7, 2010 (UTC)

Question 8: What was the first/first set of arch types?

92.0.200.194 20:55, January 7, 2010 (UTC)

Dark Magicians/Blue-Eyes/Exodia/Gaia Knights/Red-Eyes. DemonGodAsura 21:00, January 7, 2010 (UTC)

But at the time, those weren't archetypes, as they lacked support. The first true Archetype was Gravekeepers, no? --GoldenSandslash15 04:59, January 8, 2010 (UTC)

Exodia can be considered the first since it had more than one card... Toons are also pretty old. --Blue (Talk) 05:09, January 8, 2010 (UTC)
Toon monster were the first arch type Bluscreen 02:53, January 10, 2010 (UTC)

Question 9: What is a "hyprid" deck.92.11.12.119 09:43, January 10, 2010 (UTC)

  • You mean "hybrid", don't you? Hybrids combine two different archetypes or strategies for one common winning strategy. --Gadjiltron 10:02, January 10, 2010 (UTC)

Question 10: What does the commonly used phrase "Beat stick" mean? 92.11.12.119 14:17, January 10, 2010 (UTC)

Sounds like you're running out of ideas. Beatsticks have high ATK for their level. 1700 and up is generally considered beatstick-power for no-tribute monsters; 2500 and above is above-average power for single tributes, etc. Runer5h 16:18, January 10, 2010 (UTC)Runer5h

Question 12: Can torrential tribute be activated in responce to Gorz the emissary of darkness being special summoned with its effect?92.10.82.15 09:13, January 11, 2010 (UTC)

  • Not at all. Gorz's Summon effect triggers during the Damage Step, where only Counter Traps, effects that alter ATK/DEF, or effects with the specified appropriate timings, can trigger. Torrential Tribute does not fall under any of the above types of effects. --Gadjiltron 10:28, January 11, 2010 (UTC)

Thousand Eyes Idol.--Helix-king 20:12, January 15, 2010 (UTC)

Isn't it Gene-Warped Warwolf?--GoldenSandslash15 23:14, January 15, 2010 (UTC)
Blue-Eyes White Dragon says sup'. --Trivi-AM (talk) 23:16, January 15, 2010 (UTC)
In terms of ATK: Blue-Eyes White Dragon
In terms of DEF: Labyrinth Wall and Millennium Shield
In terms of ATK and DEF total: Spiral Serpent
Falzar FZ 08:27, January 18, 2010 (UTC)
"Neo Aqua Madoor" is stronger than "Labyrinth Wall" and "Millennium Shield". -- Deltaneos (talk) 12:12, January 18, 2010 (UTC)
No it isn't. It doesn't have a single defense point higher than Labyrinth Wall and Millennium Shield. Granted, it has a higher ATK, but Falzar FZ said "In terms of DEF." --GoldenSandslash15 17:23, January 18, 2010 (UTC)
I said that it's stronger, not that it has a higher DEF. The Normal Monsters with the highest DEF are "Labyrinth Wall", "Millennium Shield" and "Neo Aqua Madoor". "Neo Aqua Madoor" is the strongest out of them and the question asked for the strongest, not the highest independent stat. -- Deltaneos (talk) 21:25, January 18, 2010 (UTC)
That is true. The question did not say "In terms of DEF." But, Falzar FZ's answer did, which is what you were responding to. Plus, if we are looking at combined ATK and DEF, then as Falzar FZ has already pointed out, the answer would be Spiral Serpent. --GoldenSandslash15 05:34, January 19, 2010 (UTC)
Ok, I still missed one though so I still got it wrong in a way. Falzar FZ 05:51, January 19, 2010 (UTC)
You did better than everyone else though. --GoldenSandslash15 02:31, January 20, 2010 (UTC)
That's exactly what I said I was reponding to. "The strongest Normal Monster [...] in terms of DEF" is "Neo Aqua Madoor". Weaker monsters were mentioned, so I pointed this one out. I had not intended to show anyone up, if that is why you are intent on disproving me. -- Deltaneos (talk) 17:15, January 21, 2010 (UTC)
The strongest normal monster in terms of DEF is NOT Neo Aqua Madoor. The strongest normal monster in terms of DEF is Labyrinth Wall, Millennium Shield, and Neo Aqua Madoor. Neo Aqua Madoor is no stronger than Labyrinth Wall or Millennium Shield in terms of DEF. Regardless, I didn't think of the answer(s) either, so it is a moot point. I am not intent on disproving you. I simply believe that Falzar FZ got the question right, or rather "more right" than any of us. Either way, I don't want you as an enemy, so this will be my final attempt to argue it. If you wish to debate it any further, I will concede. Whether you know what the highest DEF Normal Monster is or not makes such a small difference compared to your overwhelming amount of knowledge on other topics. You truly are the better person, expert, and duelist amongst the two of us, without any debate. I surrender to your superior knowledge. I shall fight you no further. --GoldenSandslash15 01:08, January 25, 2010 (UTC)

Question 20: (Good joke with the thousand eye idol thing xD) Who is the transformed warrior in Sakuretsu armor? OjaOwnage 21:11, January 15, 2010 (UTC)

Question 21: What is a "Necro control" deck?92.22.118.186 17:24, January 17, 2010 (UTC)

  • Wow. You actually posted a question that I have no idea how to answer. Hmm... Can't wait to hear the real answer! --GoldenSandslash15 03:03, January 18, 2010 (UTC)

I'm going to start making these questions get pretty hard now xD Anybody with an answer? OjaOwnage 07:37, January 18, 2010 (UTC)

Im pretty sure necro control refers to reusing Necro Gardna by using Foolish Burial, Armageddon Knight, Dark Grepher and other types of those cards to send copies of Necro Gardna to the grave, and removing them to play to keep you alive. A staple in this is deck is to run 3 Burial from a Different Dimension.

The 8th Monarch 08:03, January 18, 2010 (UTC)

  • Never heard of it... but looking at the name, I guess it is referring to Necrovalley and its ability to shut down the graveyard? Akyrix 11:55, January 18, 2010 (UTC)
  • I belive you are correct in this one because Necrovalley locks down your opponents graveyard and will put an end to most strategies DaywalkerAA 12:25, January 18, 2010 (UTC)
    • (facepalm) I can't believe I didn't think of that! I just built a Gravekeeper deck in YGO WC 2008! (facepalms again) --GoldenSandslash15 17:20, January 18, 2010 (UTC)

Question 22: Player A only has 1 card left in his deck, Player B activates hand destruction, Player A cannot draw 2 cards and decks out after drawing the first, however Player A draw the final piece of Exodia from the last card in his deck and now has all 5 Exodia pieces in his hand. Who wins the duel?OjaOwnage 18:22, January 18, 2010 (UTC)

i think player b wins because his card has to fully resolve first before exodia's effect can activate Knightofwhitedragon 18:33, January 18, 2010 (UTC)

    • Player B wins because Hand Destruction will have to resolve first and thus granting a victory on decking out because Player A can no longer draw cards so he thus loses ............. i may be mistaken should consult first generation rulebook DaywalkerAA 12:10, January 19, 2010 (UTC)
  • "Hand Destruction" cannot be activated if either player has 1 or less cards in the deck. Says rulings. Neither player wins or loses. DemonGodAsura 23:53, January 20, 2010 (UTC)

Question 23: What were the first Ojama cards to be released? OjaOwnage 19:05, January 18, 2010 (UTC)

wasn't that around the lost milenium booster Knightofwhitedragon 19:47, January 18, 2010 (UTC)

That would be Ojama Green, Ojama Trio out of the Dark Crisis pack, which came out in 2003, the rest came out in 2004.Altyrell 21:43, January 18, 2010 (UTC)
Overall "Ojama Trio" was the first "Ojama" card released, back in Power of the Guardians. If you just mean the TCG, then it's both "Ojama Trio" and "Ojama Green", since Dark Crisis is a combination of Power of the Guardians and Threat of the Demon World. -- Deltaneos (talk) 00:49, January 19, 2010 (UTC)
@ Deltaneos how long have you been playing you are right 99.9999999999999999999% of the time when it comes to these things DaywalkerAA 12:24, January 19, 2010 (UTC)
It doesn't quite take a long time to wikiwalk through this and get almost all the information in your head. Alternatively, having another page in the Wiki active while answering the question helps. --Gadjiltron 12:39, January 19, 2010 (UTC)
I agree with you but some people usually don't have enough time to be able to monitor everything simultaneously DaywalkerAA 13:07, January 19, 2010 (UTC)

Question 24: What is a "Perfect circle" deck?OjaOwnage 18:35, January 19, 2010 (UTC)

Perfect circle involves using cards that are more or less on the ban wagon to mill your deck and gain tribute fodder to summon a Monarch along with Light and Darkness Dragon DaywalkerAA 19:20, January 19, 2010 (UTC)

Question 25: If player A activates Zombie masters effect and player B chains Book of moon to Zombie master does Zombie masters effect still resolve?OjaOwnage 15:18, January 20, 2010 (UTC)

No, it as to be face up for the effect to resolve.

Question 26: What tuner cannot be destroyed by battle?

OjaOwnage 19:42, January 20, 2010 (UTC)

  • That would be Shiba-Warrior Taro. Its was released in the anniversary pack Pato M 20:02, January 20, 2010 (UTC)
and also X-Saber Passiul. Falzar FZ 21:12, January 20, 2010 (UTC)
    • Any card with Mist Body won't be destroyed by battle. That's not really a good answer. --GoldenSandslash15 23:37, January 20, 2010 (UTC)
GoldenSandslash15: It was meant to be a joke.--Akiza Izayoi 19:56, January 22, 2010 (UTC)
With exception of cards like Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV6 so not exactly 'any card'. (and fixed typo, Paladin, not Palidin) Falzar FZ 23:43, January 20, 2010 (UTC)

Question 27: If Ojama king is fusion summoned whilst Ojama country is on the field can bottomless trap hole be activated?OjaOwnage 07:43, January 21, 2010 (UTC)

Yes, assuming I read Ojama Country correctly. Falzar FZ 07:58, January 21, 2010 (UTC)

No, because Bottomless Trap Hole only works on cards with 1500 ATK or more. --GoldenSandslash15 15:57, January 22, 2010 (UTC)

Question 28: Player 1 calls priority and activates Ojama country and discards a card to special summon a Ojama monster, Player 2 chains dust tornado to destroy Ojama country, does Player 1 still get to special summon.OjaOwnage 18:51, January 21, 2010 (UTC)

  • Yes. Mystical Space Typhoon and Dust Tornado do not negate cards, they simply destroy them. --GoldenSandslash15 20:08, January 21, 2010 (UTC)
    • No Field Spells are considered to be Continuous Spells, if it is destroyed before it's effect resolves it doesn't resolve. Something like that, I think. Falzar FZ 20:47, January 21, 2010 (UTC)

Question 29: Does bottomless trap hole target? OjaOwnage 15:36, January 22, 2010 (UTC)

No it does not DaywalkerAA 15:46, January 22, 2010 (UTC)

Question 30: Explain what players mean when they say "Floater". OjaOwnage 15:48, January 22, 2010 (UTC)

a monster which doesn't lose card advantage (ie: draw 1 card/summon from deck on destruction)-213.123.215.233 15:52, January 22, 2010 (UTC)

Question 31: Can you activate Ojamagic to send it to the graveyard? OjaOwnage 21:35, January 22, 2010 (UTC)

Most definately not.--Akiza Izayoi 21:37, January 22, 2010 (UTC)

Question 32: If a monster with 0 ATK attacks another monster with 0 ATK do they both still get destroyed? OjaOwnage 18:56, January 24, 2010 (UTC)

yes they do Bluscreen 18:58, January 24, 2010 (UTC)

Yes if they're both in attack mode, no if the attack target is in defense mode. --(Axe Hack | Talk) 19:21, January 24, 2010 (UTC)

0 ATK (in ATK mode) vs. 0 ATK (in ATK mode) - TCG: Yes
0 ATK (in ATK mode) vs. 0 ATK (in ATK mode) - OCG: No
0 ATK (in ATK mode) vs. 0 ATK (in DEF mode) - TCG: No
0 ATK (in ATK mode) vs. 0 ATK (in DEF mode) - OCG: No
Falzar FZ 23:10, January 24, 2010 (UTC)
In the OCG, monsters with 0 ATK cannot deal damage, and therefore cannot deal damage to each other, so neither is destroyed. In the TCG, when two monsters of equal ATK battle while in Attack Position, they are both destroyed. Also, I fixed that signature up there for you, Axe Hack.--GoldenSandslash15 01:08, January 25, 2010 (UTC)
My signature of 4 tildes was done purposely. It was my templated signature which was linked to both my User and Talk page (as you can see at User:Axe Hack/Sig). The first two tildes links to Talk page, while the last two links to my User page. --~~~~ 14:40, February 7, 2010 (UTC)
And to keep me from constantly writing out all of that coding as my signature, I have {{SUBST|User:Axe Hack/Sig}} put down as my Nickname under the Preferences. --~~~~ 14:46, February 7, 2010 (UTC)
