Forum:Constellar Leonis vs Pollux vs Sombres

Hi, I'm currently making a Sacred/Constellar deck. While looking at the effects I've come across with a question.

For Convenience:
Constellar Sombres
Constellar Leonis
Constellar Pollux

First of all, all three monsters have the effect: "you can Normal Summon a "Constellar" monster in addition to your Normal Summon/Set. (You can only gain this effect once per turn.)" Which brings me to the question, can their effects stack?

The rulings under Constellar Sombres state that: "The effect of "Constellar Sombres" that Normal Summons a "Constellar" monster can be activated during the same turn in which the effect of "Constellar Pollux" that allows you to Normal Summon a "Constellar" monster in addition to your Normal Summon has already been applied."

BUT the ruling under Constellar Leonis state that: "For monsters that allow you to Normal Summon a monster in addition to your Normal Summon, even if you control Constellar Leonis, General Grunard of the Ice Barrier and Karakuri Komachi mdl 224 "Ninishi", you can only apply the effect of 1 of them."

Nothing under the rulings of Pollux mention anything about the summons.

Because of this I'm very confused as to whether or not I can stack the effects. Thanks in advance.

Those Constellar monsters can be using multiple times in the same turn while Karakuri monster only work once per turn. Look at "Rescue Rabbit" for explain, you can summon him repeat but only used his effect once per turn, same thing for "Double Summon", you can play it but not gain anymore Normal Summon afterward.
So you can stacking the summons with Constellar while do not with Karakuri. --iFredCat 17:49, December 21, 2012 (UTC)
No, you cannot use them multiple times. Pollux and Leonis are once-per-turn because of the '(You can only gain this effect once per turn)'; however, Sombres may have a mistranslation in its text, so you'll have to wait a bit for confirmation. MadRest 18:53, December 21, 2012 (UTC)
Sombres PSCT should read as "Once per turn, if you used this effect this turn: You can Normal Summon 1 "Constellar" monster as an additional Normal Summon" similar to Pahunder or Mahunder, but someone write the PSCT like Pollux,leonis,Ninishi.Karakuri,etc..--X-Metaman (talkcontribs) 18:58, December 21, 2012 (UTC)
Sombres's effect states "as an additional normal summon," whereas the other 2 state "in addition to your normal summon or set." You can only have one "in addition to your normal summon or set," because you only have 1 normal summon or set. However, Sombres's wording doesn't not reference the turn's original normal summon or set, so you can gain it's effect as well as both the original normal summon, and a normal summon in addition to the original (totaling 3 summons). Beyond that, I'm not sure if more Sombres' let you make additional summons (4 or 5). --S1L3N7_N1GH7S 19:34, December 22, 2012 (UTC)--S1L3N7_N1GH7S 19:34, December 22, 2012 (UTC)

So....

I can stack Sombres with Pollux OR Leonis but I can't stack Pollux WITH Leonis?

Meaning I can do the following: Normal summon Pollux, Normal Summon Sombres, use Sombres' effect, Normal summon another Constellar (Kaust etc.)

But I cannot do the following: Normal summon Pollux, Normal summon Leonis, normal summon Sombres, use sombres' effect, Normal summon another Constellar.

Neither can I do the following: Normal Summon Pollux, Normal summon Leonix, normal summon another constellar.

Right, provided you use Sombres's effect first. MadRest 17:38, December 23, 2012 (UTC)
