Loop Guide[edit]

By BobaFett2

In Yugioh, loops are rare and often powerful. At times, a loop may do nothing, but then a new card arrives which makes the loop overpowered. Usually, those loops have cards from them Semi-Limited, Limited, or Banned. Loops have even been used in the anime, although they were often incorrect (the loop that Yugi used to defeat Strings). Some loops can go on forever, winning you the game or simply stalling for time (the "Flint Lock" and "Butterfly Dagger - Elma" loops) whereas some loops end up running out of cards (the Quillbolt"-"Plaguespreader"-"Imperial Iron Wall" loop without "Card of Safe Return" or the "Trishula" OTK Loop where your deck size limits the number of times you can use it).

When constructing a loop-based deck, you should make sure that you know exactly how each card in the loop will interact-often, a card may not actually be usable in the loop even though it may seem so at first glance. You should also make sure that the loop can't "break" itself at random times (The "Gusto" "Exodia" loop can if you don't have everything set up correctly) and that it can win you the game or at least creates game-winning opportunities (The "Flint Lock" loop won't necessarily make you win alone).

Some of the most powerful loops involve "Symbol of Heritage" and "Premature Burial" as well as either "Mass Driver"/"Cannon Soldier"/"Toon Cannon Soldier" or "Exodia" as your end goal. The loops most commonly use the two Level 6 "Ice Barrier" Synchro Monsters, "Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier" and "Dewloren, Tiger King of the Ice Barrier".

Clarification: This deck guide is solely for infinite loops within a turn - these are not a once per turn loop that can keep going, but a loop that theoretically will allow you to achieve a win condition.

Loop Enablers[edit]

Loop-based decks tend to be inconsistent because you have to draw certain cards. The loops with better support tend to be the ones that get hit because of their consistency. Some cards are great support for loops. They can search for specific cards or help you acquire a piece or two of the loop. Some of the better loop enablers include:

Advanced Format Loops[edit]

Colossal Fighter/Armory Arm OTK Loop[edit]

By equipping "Armory Arm" to your opponent's monster (with at least 1900 ATK) and attacking it with "Colossal Fighter" repeatedly you would be able to inflict massive burn damage to your opponent and win that turn. Now, you need two "Colossal Fighter" since the destroyed card has to remain in your Graveyard during the resolution of "Armory Arm's" effect but the loop used to be much easier to achieve.

There are two main ways to do this: Using the Fish Synchro OTK strategy mentioned above or with "Rekindling". After setting up your Graveyard with monsters of the correct Levels, you can use "Rekindling" to Special Summon them and Synchro Summon "Colossal Fighter" and "Armory Arm".

Cactus Fighter OTK Loop[edit]

In almost every situation, "Cactus Fighter" is a bad card. When it destroys your opponent's monster by battle, it Special Summons a Level 1 token to their side of the field. However, with "All-Out Attacks", "Cactus Fighter" will make your opponent lose if it destroys any of their monsters because the Special Summoned token must attack "Cactus Fighter", which generates another token, and so on, ending in your opponent's defeat.

The loop is quite easy to achieve-all you need it:

Quillbolt Burn Loop[edit]

This loop uses "Quillbolt Hedgehog", "Imperial Iron Wall", and "Cannon Soldier"/"Toon Cannon Soldier"/"Mass Driver" to inflict enough burn damage to defeat your opponent. To perform the OTK you must have a Tuner monster, the Burn card, and "Imperial Iron Wall" on your side of the field and "Quillbolt Hedgehog" in your Graveyard. Special Summon "Quillbolt Hedgehog", tribute it to inflict damage, and Special Summon it over and over.

X-Saber Loop (Exodia OTK)[edit]

This loop uses "X-Saber Axel" and two "X-Saber Palomuro" plus "Rainbow Life". Previously, this OTK could be done with "Card of Safe Return" instead of "X-Saber Axel". To accomplish this loop, you must control "X-Saber Axel", "X-Saber Palomuro", have activated "Rainbow Life", and have an "X-Saber Palomuro" in your Graveyard. Attack your opponent's Attack Position monster with "Palomuro", destroying it, and pay 500 Life Points to Special Summon the other one from your Graveyard. Then, draw a card with "X-Saber Axel's" effect and repeat.

XX-Saber Faultroll Loop (Cannon Soldier/Mass Driver OTK)[edit]

This "X-Saber" loop uses "XX-Saber Faultroll", "XX-Saber Ragigura", and "Mass Driver"/"Cannon Soldier"/"Toon Cannon Soldier" to inflict enough burn damage to your opponent to win. To accomplish this loop, you must have your burn monster out, as well as have "XX-Saber Faultroll" in your hand and Graveyard, an "XX-Saber Ragigura" in your Graveyard, and two "X-Saber" monsters on your side of the field. Special Summon "XX-Saber Faultroll" and Special Summon "XX-Saber Ragigura" from your Graveyard. Return "Faultroll" to your hand, then tribute "Ragigura" and "Faultroll" to inflict damage to your opponent's Life Points. Special Summon the "Faultroll" in your hand and repeat.

Chain Material Loop OTK[edit]

Using "Chain Material" and "Fusion Gate" you can create an OTK loop which either inflicts enough burn damage to defeat your opponent or allows you to draw "Exodia" with "Worm Zero".

Both loops require you to control "Fusion Gate" and have used "Chain Material".

The "Worm Zero" loop is as follows: Fusion Summon "Worm Zero" using six "Worm" monsters from your deck. Draw a card. Fusion Summon another "Worm Zero" using the "Worm Zero" that you control. Draw again. Fusion Summon "Elemental HERO Electrum" and return all of your Banished cards to your hand/Extra Deck. Repeat, then when you have two Electrum, Fusion Summon "Elemental HERO Escuridão" using "Electrum" and an "Exodia" piece from your deck. Repeat.

The other combo plays similarly - Fusion Summon "Blaze Fenix, the Burning Bombardment Bird", inflicting damage to your opponent's Life Points, then Fusion Summon another using the previously summon "Fenix" and a Machine-Type monster from anywhere, then again, then Fusion Summon "Elemental HERO Nova Master". Fusion Summon "Electrum", Fuse "Nova Master" and "Electrum" for "Elemental HERO The Shining" or "Elemental HERO Nova Master" and repeat.

Flint Lock Loop[edit]

The Flint Lock loop uses two "Flint Lock" and "Morale Boost" along with "Flint" to increase your Life Points to massive amounts. While it doesn't make you win, adding "Fire Princess" will do so. To perform this loop, you must control two "Flint Lock", "Morale Boost", and "Flint". Equip "Flint" to the other "Flint Lock", gaining 1000 Life Points in doing so, and repeat.

Archfiend's Oath Loop[edit]

This loop uses "Archfiend's Oath", "Convulsion of Nature", "Spell Absorption", and "Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier" to draw your entire deck. To achieve this, you must Synchro Summon "Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier". Make sure you use cards such as "Thunder Dragon" and "Volcanic Shell" to make up for the advantage lost in discarding cards.

To perform the loop:

  1. Synchro Summon "Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier"
  2. Use "Archfiend's Oath" while you control "Convulsion of Nature", adding the top card of your deck to your hand.
  3. Use "Brionac's" effect to return "Archfiend's Oath" to your hand.
  4. Play "Archfiend's Oath" and gain 500 Life Points due to "Spell Absorption".
  5. Repeat

Heart of the Underdog Loop[edit]

The Heart of the Underdog Loop relies on chance-if you don't draw the correct cards, you can't win. However, with one "Monster Recovery", three "Reload" and three "Hand Destruction", the chances of making it work are much increased.

Basically, you draw extra cards during your Draw Phase (all cards are Normal Monsters except "Exodia the Forbidden One" and your Spell Cards as mentioned above) until you hit a non-Normal Monster. Activate one of your Quick Play Spells to re-draw and continue drawing if you drew a Normal Monster because of those cards.

Red Ogre Loop[edit]

The Red Ogre Loop uses "Red Ogre", "Samsara Kaiser", "Precious Cards from Beyond", "Ultimate Offering", and "Mysterious Puppeteer" to get "Exodia". If you want, you can perform this loop during your opponent's Battle Phase due to "Ultimate Offering's" effect. To perform this loop, you must have "Red Ogre" and two "Samsara Kaiser" in your hand and "Precious Cards from Beyond" as well as "Ultimate Offering" on your side of the field. You will lose if you don't draw "Mysterious Puppeteer" at some point but you don't have to start with it.

  1. Pay 1000 Life Points to Normal Summon both "Samsara Kaiser" and then tribute them for "Red Ogre", drawing two cards and returning "Samsara Kaiser" to your hand.
  2. Then, discard a card for "Red Ogre's" effect and return him to your hand.
  3. Repeat.

Gallis OTK Loop Core[edit]

This loop uses the effects of "Gallis the Star Beast", "Genex Ally Birdman", "Cockroach Knight", and "Koa'ki Meiru Doom" to defeat your opponent. To complete this loop, you must have "Genex Ally Birdman", "Gallis the Star Beast", and "Koa'ki Meiru Doom" on your side of the field and "Cockroach Knight" on top of your deck.

  1. Normal Summon "Koa'ki Meiru Doom".
  2. Special Summon "Gallis the Star Beast" using its effect and send "Cockroach Knight" to your Graveyard, inflicting 600 points of damage to your opponent's Life Points. "Cockroach Knight" returns itself to the top of your Deck.
  3. Use "Genex Ally Birdman" to return "Gallis" to your hand without it being Special Summoned due to "Koa'ki Meiru Doom". This works because returning is a cost for "Genex Ally Birdman".
  4. Repeat until you win

Gigaplant OTK Loop Core[edit]

This loop uses "Gigaplant", "Blazewing Butterfly", "Superalloy Beast Raptinus", and "Mass Driver"/"Cannon Soldier"/"Toon Cannon Soldier" to inflict enough damage to your opponent's Life Points to win. To accomplish this loop, you must have "Superally Beast Raptinus" and the damage inflicting card on your side of the field as well as "Blazewing Butterfly" in your hand and "Gigaplant" in your Graveyard.

  1. Normal Summon "Blazewing Butterfly".
  2. Tribute "Blazewing Butterfly" to Special Summon "Gigaplant".
  3. Use "Gigaplant's" effect to Special Summon "Blazewing Buttefly".
  4. Tribute "Gigaplant" to inflict damage to your opponent's Life Points.
  5. Repeat steps 2-4 until you win.

Voltic OTK Loop[edit]

This loop uses the effects of "Elemental HERO Voltic", "Des Counterblow" and "Dimensional Fissure" or "Macro Cosmos" to defeat your opponent. To accomplish this loop, you must have "Dimensional Fissure" or "Macro Cosmos", "Des Counterblow", and "Elemental HERO Voltic" on your side of the field and a Banished "Elemental HERO Voltic".

  1. Attack your opponent directly with "Voltic", Special Summoning the other "Voltic" and Banishing the one that just attacked.
  2. Repeat.

Shinai-Mizuho Loop[edit]

There is a poweful loop that can be accomplished with "Legendary Six Samurai - Shinai" and "Legendary Six Samurai - Mizuho" along with "Gateway of the Six" and two more cards that store Bushido Counters. There are two loops-one that clears your opponent's field and one that allows you to increase the attack of your monsters as much as you want. You can transition from the first to the second without using more cards, so this is a potent OTK loop.

To achieve the loop, you must perform the following steps:

  1. Activate "Gateway of the Six" and the other two Spell Cards.
  2. Normal Summon "Mizuho".
  3. Remove the counters from "Gateway" and the two other cards to add "Shinai" from your Deck to your hand.
  4. Special Summon "Shinai".
  5. Add another "Mizuho" to your hand with "Gateway" and Special Summon it.
  6. Tribute "Mizuho" for the other "Mizuho's" effect and destroy a monster your opponent controls, then return it to your hand with "Gateway" and Special Summon it again.
  7. Tribute the other "Mizuho" for the newly Special Summoned "Mizuho's" effect and repeat.

With this, you can clear your opponent's field. Then, to accumulate enough counters on "Gateway" to increase their ATK to incredibly high levels:

  1. Have all the previously mentioned cards on the field.
  2. Use "Mizuho's" effect and tribute "Shinai" to destroy the other "Mizuho", returning it to your hand with "Shinai's" effect.
  3. Return "Shinai" from your Graveyard to your hand with "Gateway".
  4. Special Summon "Shinai" and "Mizuho", gaining 4 more counters (2 on "Gateway", one on each of the other cards).
  5. Repeat, and finish by removing all counters from your side of the field to give "Mizuho" and "Shinai" 500 ATK per two counters removed this way.

Do not use "Six Samurai United" for this, as it will only store up to two counters.

Previously Advanced Format Loops[edit]

These loops are no longer valid in Advanced Format due to the Banning, Limiting, or Semi-Limiting of key cards.

Primal Seed Loop[edit]

The Prismal Seed Loop was available early in the game before the first formats were created. The loop requires you to control "Banisher of the Light"/"Banisher of the Radiance"/"Macro Cosmos" plus "Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning" or "Chaos Emperor Dragon - Envoy of the End".

  1. Play a Burn card (such as "Sparks") or a draw card (such as "Upstart Goblin" and then it is Banished due to "Macro Cosmos".
  2. Play "Primal Seed" and return the Banished Spell Card to your hand.
  3. Activate the Spell Card, having it Banished again.
  4. Play a second "Primal Seed", returning the first "Primal Seed" and Burn or Draw card to your hand.
  5. You win once your opponent's Life Points reach zero or you draw "Exodia".

These decks are not legal in Traditional Format as "Primal Seed" is now Limited.

Butterfly Dagger Elma Loop[edit]

"Butterfly Dagger - Elma" is the most powerful Equip Spell Card in the game. When it is destroyed while on the field, you can return it to your hand. It only gives 300 ATK but the best part is that it gives Spell Counters or counts for "Morale Boost". There are a few ways to win with this controlled loop:

  • Exodia - Use "Royal Magical Library" to accrue Spell Counters
  • Morale Boost/Spell Absorption and Fire Princess - Gain/lose Life Points to deal damage to your opponent

The Exodia one requires that you control "Gearfried the Iron Knight", "Royal Magical Library", and have "Butterfly Dagger - Elma" in your hand. Equip "Butterfly Dagger" to "Gearfried", getting a counter on "Royal Magical Library", and then it is destroyed and return to your hand. Repeat until you win.

"Butterfly Dagger - Elma" is Banned so this deck is not available in Advanced decks.

The Burn one uses "Morale Boost" or "Spell Absorption" to increase your Life Points and "Fire Princess" to damage your opponent's.

Cyber Valley Loop[edit]

The "Cyber Valley" loop is an "Exodia" loop where you use three "Cyber Valley", "Dark Magician of Chaos", "Spell Economics", and "Dimension Fusion" to draw "Exodia" in one turn. This loop is illegal in Advanced Format because "Dark Magician of Chaos" and "Dimension Fusion" are banned.

You must have a Banished "Dark Magician of Chaos" and "Cyber Valley", "Machine Duplication", "Spell Economics", and "Dimension Fusion" in your hand to use this loop.

  1. Summon "Cyber Valley" and activate "Machine Duplication" on it.
  2. Activate "Spell Economics".
  3. Banish two "Cyber Valley" to draw two cards.
  4. Activate "Dimension Fusion".
  5. Banish all "Cyber Valley" and "Dark Magician of Chaos" to draw four cards and return "Dimension Fusion" to your hand.
  6. Repeat steps 4 and 5.

Manticore of Darkness Loop (Exodia OTK)[edit]

This loop uses two "Manticore of Darkness" to send each other to your Graveyard and Special Summon themselves over and over, allowing you to draw cards with "Card of Safe Return". Now that "Card of Safe Return" is Banned, this loop is not available in Advanced Format. To begin the loop, you must have "Card of Safe Return" on your side of the field and "Manticore of Darkness" in your hand. Send "Manticore of Darkness" to your Graveyard from your Deck (or if you have two in your hand send it from there). During your End Phase, send "Manticore of Darkness" from your hand to your Graveyard and Special Summon the one in your Graveyard, then draw a card. Send the other to your Graveyard with the first one's effect and repeat.

Departed Wanghu Loop[edit]

The Departed Wanhu Loop uses "Card of Safe Return", "King Tiger Wanghu", and "Destiny HERO - Departed" to draw your entire deck. To accomplish this loop, you must have "King Tiger Wanghu" and "Card of Safe Return" on your side of the field and "Destiny HERO - Departed" in your Graveyard during your Standby Phase. "Departed" Special Summons itself, allowing you to draw a card, then is destroyed, then Special Summons itself again, over and over. This loop is no longer available in Advanced Format due to the banning of "Card of Safe Return".

Spear Cretin Loop[edit]

This loop uses "Spear Cretin", "All-Out Attacks", "Card of Safe Return", and "Spirit Barrier" or "Rainbow Life" to draw "Exodia". You must have "Spear Cretin", "All-Out Attacks", "Card of Safe Return", and "Spirit Barrier" on your side of the field and "Spear Cretin" in your Graveyard. Flip Summon "Spear Cretin", targeting the other "Spear Cretin", and "Spear Cretin" is forced to attack and is destroyed. Now you get to Special Summon the other "Spear Cretin" in face-down Defense Position, repeating the loop, and drawing a card each time it repeats itself.

Makyura Chick Loop[edit]

The Makyura Chick Loop uses the effect of "Makyura the Destructor" to allow you to use "Limit Reverse" and "Call of the Haunted" from your hand, Special Summoning "Dark Scorpion - Chick the Yellow", which after attacking your opponent directly returns the Trap Card to your hand, allowing you to use it again. This deck is illegal in Advanced Format due to the banning of "Makyura the Destructor".

Fish Synchro OTK Loop[edit]

The Fish Synchro OTK Loop is a powerful loop that is started by using "Superancient Deepsea King Coelacanth". As of September 1st, 2011, the Fish Synchro OTK Loop is illegal due to the Semi-Limiting of "Dewloren" and the Banning of "Fishborg Blaster".

  1. Use "Star Blast" to reduce "Coelocanth" to Level 1.
  2. Special Summon two "Oister Meister" and two "Fishborg Blaster" with "Coelocanth".
  3. Tune "Fishborg" and "Coelocanth" for "Formula Synchron", then tune "Formula" and Oyster" for "Librarian".
  4. You'll now have drawn another card and produced a token.
  5. Tune "Fishborg" and the token for a "Formula Synchron", drawing two cards, then tune "Oyster" and "Formula" to make a "Gishilnodon".
  6. Draw another card and produce a token.
  7. Discard a card, Special Summon "Fishborg", Synchro Summon "Dewloren", and draw a card.
  8. By now, if you don't have "Level Eater" in your Graveyard, you can't win.
  9. Use "Level Eater", "Fishborg Blaster", and "Dewloren" to Synchro Summon another "Dewloren".
  10. Repeat this, then get "Power Tool Dragon".
  11. Get a "Symbols of Duty" (or try to), and use it to bring back "Dewloren".
  12. Return "Power Tool Dragon" to your hand and Synchro Summon it again.
  13. Do the same thing until you get another "Symbols of Duty".
  14. Special Summon "Formula Synchron" and "Dewloren", then return "Symbols" to your hand with "Dewloren".
  15. Discard a card, Special Summon "Fishborg Blaster".
  16. Synchro Summon "Power Tool Dragon" then Special Summon "Level Eater" and Synchro Summon "Trishula".
  17. Special Summon "Dewloren" and "Formula" with "Symbols" and repeat, returning "Trishula" to your hand if you need more than three.

You can also turn the "Dewloren" and "Symbols" loop into a Burn Damage OTK. Once you've Synchro Summoned three "Dewloren" you can use "Symbols of Duty", return it to your hand, tribute "Dewloren" for "Mass Driver", "Cannon Soldier", or "Toon Cannon Soldier", and repeat.

In addition to that, you can make this into a "Tempest Magician" burn deck by Synchro Summoning T.G. Hyper Librarian (Formula + a third Oyster Meister, followed up with Level Eater and another Formula) once you have at least 16 cards in your hand. This can also be used as an "Exodia" deck and a "Tempest Magician Burn" deck (with).

Previously, the deck had a much simpler OTK using "Colossal Fighter" and "Armory Arm". You can reduce "Coelocanth" to Level 4 with "Star Blast" then Special Summon 2 "Oyster Meister" and 2 "Fishborg Blaster". Synchro Summon "Colossal Fighter" ("Coelocanth" + "Oyster" + "Fishborg") and "Armory Arm" ("Fishborg" + "Oyster Meister"). Now that the OTK only works if you have "Colossal Fighter" in your Graveyard when the effect resolves, this win condition (which is much easier to achieve) is invalid.

Gusto Exodia Loop[edit]

The Gusto Exodia loop uses "Mind Master" and "Caam, Serenity of Gusto" to draw through your whole deck. As of September 1st, 2011, this deck is illegal in Advanced Format due to the Banning of "Mind Master". To perform this OTK, you must control "Mind Master", any Psychic-Type monster, and "Brain Research Lab" or "Telekinetic Charging Cell" equipped to "Mind Master". Tribute the Psychic-Type monsters to Special Summon more from your deck until finally your deck contains no monsters and you control a "Caam, Serenity of Gusto". Return two "Caam" from your deck to your Graveyard and draw a card. Then, use "Mind Master's" effect again and repeat. The main problem with this loop is that it can break down if you end up with two "Caam" in your hand and no way to discard them.

Future Fusion FTK Loop[edit]

The most complicated and potent First Turn Kill is the "Future Fusion" one. If you have "Future Fusion" in your hand and your opponent does not have "Effect Veiler" or "D.D. Crow", you win the game. As of September 1st, 2011, this loop is illegal in Advanced Format due to the Semi-Limiting of "Dewloren" and the Banning of "Fishborg Blaster".

Steps:

  1. Activate "Future Fusion" ("Elemental HERO Escuridão") and send a "HERO" monster plus "Blackwing - Zephyros the Elite".
  2. Special Summon "Zephyros", return "Future Fusion" to your hand, take 400 points of damage.
  1. Activate "Future Fusion" ("Elemental HERO Escuridão") and send a "HERO" monster plus "Plaguespreader Zombie".
  2. Special Summon "Plaguespreader Zombie with its effect.
  3. Synchro Summon "Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier".
  4. Use "Brionac's" effect to return "Future Fusion" to your hand.
  1. Activate "Future Fusion" ("Elemental HERO Nova Master") and send a "HERO" monster plus "Volcanic Shell".
  2. Use "Brionac's" effect, discarding "Volcanic Shell", returning "Future Fusion" to your hand.
  3. Use the effect of "Volcanic Shell" and add another one to your hand.
  1. Use "Future Fusion" ("Elemental HERO Absolute Zero") and send "Destiny HERO - Malicious" and "Treeborn Frog".
  2. Banish "Malicious" to Special Summon another one from your deck.
  3. Use "Brionac's" effect and discard "Volcanic Shell" to return "Future Fusion" to your hand.
  1. Activate "Future Fusion", ("Elemental HERO Escuridão") and send a "HERO" monster plus "Level Eater".
  2. Special Summon "Level Eater", reducing "Malicious" to Level 5.
  3. Use "Brionac's" effect and discard a card to return "Level Eater" to your hand then discard it to return "Future Fusion" to your hand.
  4. Special Summon "Level Eater", reducing "Malicious" to Level 4.
  1. Activate "Future Fusion" ("Elemental HERO Absolute Zero") and send a "HERO" monster plus "Ronintoadin".
  2. Use "Brionac's" effect and discard a card to return "Level Eater" to your hand then discard it to return "Future Fusion" to your hand.
  1. Activate "Future Fusion" ("Elemental HERO Absolute Zero") and send a "HERO" monster plus "Fishborg Blaster".
  2. Banish "Treeborn Frog" to Special Summon "Ronintoadin".
  3. Reduce "Brionac" to Level 5 to Special Summon "Level Eater".
  4. Discard a card to Special Summon "Fishborg Blaster".
  5. Tune "Brionac" and "Fishborg" to Synchro Summon "Dewloren, Tiger King of the Ice Barrier".
  6. Use "Dewloren's" effect to return "Level Eater" and "Future Fusion" to your hand.
  1. Activate "Future Fusion's" ("Elemental HERO Gaia") and send a "HERO" monster and "Glow-Up Bulb".
  2. Send the top card of your deck to your Graveyard and Special Summon "Glow-Up Bulb".
  3. Tune "Malicious" and "Glow-Up Bulb" to Synchro Summon "T.G. Hyper Librarian".
  4. Discard "Level Eater" to Special Summon "Fishborg Blaster".
  5. Special Summon "Level Eater" and reduce "Dewloren" to Level 5.
  6. Tune "Fishborg" and "Dewloren" for another "Dewloren", drawing a card for "Hyper Librarian's" effect.
  7. Use "Dewloren's" effect to return "Level Eater" and "Future Fusion" to your hand.
  8. Discard "Level Eater" to Special Summon "Fishborg Blaster".
  9. Special Summon "Level Eater" and reduce "Dewloren" to Level 5.
  10. Tune "Fishborg" and "Dewloren" for another "Dewloren", drawing a card for "Hyper Librarian's" effect.
  11. Use "Dewloren" to return "Level Eater" to your hand.
  12. Discard "Level Eater" to Special Summon "Fishborg Blaster".
  13. Tune "Fishborg" and "Dewloren" to Synchro Summon "Power Tool Dragon", drawing a card for "Hyper Librarian's" effect.
  14. Use "Power Tool Dragon's" effect to add "Symbol of Heritage" to your hand.
  15. Activate "Symbol of Heritage" and Special Summon "Dewloren". Special Summon "Level Eater" and reduce "Power Tool" to Level 6.
  16. Activate "Dewloren's" effect and return "Symbol of Heritage", "Level Eater", and "Power Tool Dragon" to your hand.
  17. Discard "Level Eater" to Special Summon "Fishborg Blaster".
  18. Tune "Dewloren" and "Fishborg" to Synchro Summon "Power Tool Dragon", drawing a card for "Hyper Librarian's" effect.
  19. Repeat
  20. At any time in this loop you can use a second "Symbols" on any "HERO" monster which you have three of in your Graveyard for extra cards in your hand.
  21. Activate "Monster Reborn" (you'll have drawn it by now since your deck should be empty) and Special Summon "Glow-Up Bulb".
  22. Tune "Hyper Librarian" and "Glow-Up Bulb" to Synchro Summon "Tempest Magician".
  23. Discard your hand for "Tempest Magician's" effect, then remove all of its Spell Counters to inflict over 8000 points of damage to your opponent's Life Points.

This loop is quite complicated and if any mistakes are made, the loop will be destroyed. It is by far the most powerful FTK due to it being a 93.5% chance of winning (because you can mill Monster Reborn with Glow-Up Bulb) with just one card (not counting responses, which there are few of).

Mind Master Synchro Loop[edit]

"Mind Master" is an amazing card. You can use its effect any number of times per turn with the only limitation being its Life Points cost. When combined with "Brain Research Lab" or "Telekinetic Charging Cell", it can be quite powerful, and when you have the ability to continually generate advantage in the process, it's even better. This following loop uses "Hushed Psychic Cleric" and "Mind Master" to get a few Synchro Monsters, often enough for an OTK. To accomplish this loop you must have "Mind Master", "Hushed Psychic Cleric", an "Esper" in your hand or Graveyard, and at least 4 cards in your hand. As of September 1st, 2011, this loop is illegal in Advanced Format, due to the Banning of Mind Master.

  1. Discard a card for "Hushed Psychic Cleric", selecting "Esper Girl" in your Graveyard.
  2. Use "Mind Master" to Special Summon a "Hushed Psychic Cleric" from your Deck by tributing "Cleric" and Special Summon the other "Cleric".
  3. Discard a card for "Hushed Psychic Cleric", selecting another "Cleric" in your Graveyard.
  4. Tune "Esper Girl" and "Hushed Psychic Cleric" to Synchro Summon "T.G. Hyper Librarian", Special Summoning the other "Cleric". Draw a card for "Esper Girl's" effect.
  5. Repeat steps 1-4 but select "Hushed Psychic Cleric" each time, drawing a card at the end.
  6. Repeat (Special Summoning different monsters) until you have enough Synchro Monsters to defeat your opponent.

Illegal Loops[edit]

Some loops are illegal, as they are uncontrolled and will never resolve. One such loop is the common "Pole Position" loop. By equipping an Equip Spell Card to a monster you control, making it stronger than another monster you control, it becomes the target for "Pole Position", making it unaffected by Spell Cards, making the other monster stronger, which changes "Pole Position's" target, and so on. If such a loop would occur, it does not, and the player cannot activate the card that would cause the loop.
