Forum:Mist Archfiend + dimension

If Mist Archfiend is Normal Summoned and then moved off the field with Dimensionhole, what would happen to it during the next turn? Would it kill itself in the end phase, or would it stay on the field just like if you did that with Spirit Monsters?

Now more importantly, if you did the same thing but instead used Interdimensional Matter Transporter, what would happen during the end phase? Would it still kill itself with its effect, or would you be able to choose in what order the effects resolve? NecrofearNorleras (talkcontribs) 06:43, July 18, 2010 (UTC)

For Mist Archfiend vs. Interdimensional Matter Transporter: Mist Archfield will return, then it destroys itself.
For Mist Archfiend vs. Dimensionhole: Mist Archfield should activate every end phase, so it will destroy itself. (assuming it's the same as Majestic Mech - Ohka)
For Spirit vs. Interdimensional Matter Transporter: See Card Rulings:Interdimensional Matter Transporter: "If a Spirit Monster is returned to the field with "Interdimensional Matter Transporter" the same turn it was Summoned or flipped face-up, it returns to the field and then returns to the owner's hand."
For Spirit vs. Dimensionhole: Since it is not that turn, the Spirit stays on the field. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 07:06, July 18, 2010 (UTC)
Note that "Mist Archfiend" vs "Interdimensional Matter Transporter"/"Dimensionhole" is still under review - it's not known whether or not "Mist Archfiend" will remember how many Tributes were used to Summon it. Right now, I'd say that they won't remember, but it could go either way.
The monsters will clearly remember WHEN they were Summoned, so Spirit Monsters will return to the hand (for "Interdimensional Matter Transporter") or not return at all (for "Dimensionhole").
