If I may offer my advice, try not to use canon character cards, it's unoriginal and really rather boring.

I won't post characters for my planned own series, but let's toss out some characters from a Duel Terminal 3-based series that's set during ARC-V.

Yujo Vega

A member of the Resistance from the Xyz Dimension. He's good at heart, but unlike most Resistance fighters he has a love of battle which he fears.

Design: Similar in appearance to Dipper O'rion. Has blonde hair in an arrangement similar to that of Syrus Truesdale, but shorter and with more spikes. He carries a gold-coloured Xyz Dimension Duel Disk.

Yujo uses a "tellarknight Deck" that focuses on making quick Xyz Summons through swarming the field with monster effects that are activated through being Summoned. He also includes a number of "Constellar" cards in his Extra Deck. Referencing the Resistance's ideals of never giving up and continuously returning when struck down, he uses a large number of revival cards. His ace monster is "Stellarknight Delteros", and he later gains the capability to upgrade his "Stellarknights" into "Stellarknight Constellar Diamond", which has anti-DARK effects.

Ryu Fan Zen

A displaced Turbo Duelist from the lower-class of the City's Topsiders in the Synchro Dimension. As his family recently ascended, he tends to be less discriminatory than most Tops, though at the same time, he holds a darker view on the world and knows that he is lucky. He enjoys his Dueling, but isn't always the most clear of thinkers and doesn't think before he acts.

Design: Ryu wears his gift from his parents; an elaborate blue draconian Turbo Duelist suit that bears resemblance to those worn by Team Ragnarok. Continuing the dragon motif, his hair is similar to a toned-down version of Dragan's. His Duel Runner is similar to Yugo's, though he is not as skilled a pilot nor a mechanic. He continues to use a Commons model Duel Disk that he has adapted into a hybrid model, with a basic body and a red blade.

Ryu uses a "Yang Zing Deck" that focuses on defense. His monsters all have the ability to Special Summon other "Yang Zing" monsters when destroyed, which he channels with a variety of cards in order to assemble materials for Synchro Summons that he can perform on either player's turn. His Deck later takes a darker turn, and be begins using more aggressive tactics and DARK monsters. His ace monster is "Baxia, Brightness of the Yang Zing".

Alice Ning

A commander of the Obelisk Force from the Fusion Dimension's Duel Academy. Unlike the generally sadistic members of the Obelisk Force, Alice is usually emotionally detached, only seeing the doll monsters in her Deck as her allies. However she is also frighteningly obsessive despite this and relentless in her objectives.

Design: Alice has long black hair that reaches down to her knees and purple eyes. She wears a similar uniform to Selena, but in the blue colours of an Obelisk Force soldier and with dark leggings. Alice also wears the classic Obelisk Force mask.

Alice uses a "Shaddoll Deck" that focuses on Flip monsters and Fusion Summons. Her "Shaddoll" Flip Monsters have additional effects that activate when sent to the Graveyard by a card effect, while her "El Shaddoll" Fusion Monsters restrict Special Summons. Her Deck is unusual in that it changes based on the Duelists that she encounters, almost acting like a living organism itself. She includes a small number of non-"Shaddoll" monsters in order to satisfy the requirements for her Fusion Monsters. Her ace monster is "El Shaddoll Construct". Sanokal K-T (talkcontribs) 20:10, December 10, 2015 (UTC)

pretty interesting trio, maybe you could make a standard dimension character among them, like ai and seth, also, help finding a better name for yong would be MUCH appreciatedDjt08031996 (talkcontribs) 20:34, December 10, 2015 (UTC)

Sorry about that, didn't have access to the computer. I'd suggest "Wuji" instead of Yong assuming that you're keeping the connection to yin and yang. In taoism, yin and yang are opposites, while wuji is the absence of either.

All right, looks like someone's interested, let's add the New Challengers character:

Zack Solomon

An LID Top Team member from Standard England selected by Declan Akaba to test Pendulum Summoning. He's eager and pushy, and tends to be rude and abrasive.

Design: Zack has black spiky hair that is slicked back and wears the Leo Institute Top Team uniform with black gloves. He uses a Standard Duel Disk with a green body and an orange parallelogram blade.

Zack uses a prototype "Qli Deck", which focuses on Pendulum Summoning en masse, and then Tributing the Summoned monsters to Summon high-Level monsters. His monsters have effects that activate either when they are Tributed or Tribute Summoned, and his Pendulum Effects either increase or decrease ATK or provide card advantage. His ace monster is "Qliphort Disk", which allows him to swarm the field for an OTK. Sanokal K-T (talkcontribs) 22:54, December 10, 2015 (UTC)

wuji... sounds... pretty cool, actually, and, fyi, as one person's character was quick to point out, odd-eyes is the only card ai has that she can explain how she got it, the rest are, well, anime logic, get a card, instantly have a deck built around itDjt08031996 (talkcontribs) 12:54, December 11, 2015 (UTC)

It's not necessarily about not being able to have the card, it's about effectively copying another character, which is generally looked down on.

Anyway, may as well post The Secret Forces additions:

Reina

A Slifer Red student from the Fusion Dimension Duel Academy. She initially fights loyally for Duel Academy, even partaking in the Invasion of the Xyz Dimension, but her true gentle nature eventually prompts her to defect.

Design: Reina wears the basic Slifer Red uniform, similar to Selena, but without Selena's slight customizations. Reina herself has ginger hair tied back in a short ponytail, and green eyes.

Reina uses a "Ritual Beast Deck" that is based around the Contact Fusion mechanic. Her monsters all have effects that focus on the banishing of "Ritual Beast" cards in order to generate advantage, while her key cards have disruptive effects in order to maintain control of the field. Her ace monster is "Ritual Beast Ulti-Apelio".

Damon Tsumetai

Damon is a Senior Arc League Championship contestant, but he was unable to enter the Top 8 and instead placed in the Top 16. He is drafted in by Declan to participate in the Battle Royal after the Senior Team is defeated. Damon is kind at heart, but when he Duels he plays ruthlessly and acts cold, something that he agonizes over.

Design: Damon is tall for his age, and he has silver hair with red streaks that hangs without style over his face. His eyes are brown and his skin is very pale. Damon dresses simply, yet expensively, wearing only a collared white shirt, black pants and shoes, but ones of the finest materials.

Damon uses a "Nekroz Deck", though the expense of the cards means that he does not have the maximum number of copies of all of them. In order to compensate, he includes all of the Main Deck monsters in addition to Ritual Monster support cards. His Deck focuses on consistent Ritual Summoning, and his Ritual Monsters all have two effects; ones activated by discarding them from the hand, and those that are in play when the monsters are on the field. He includes a number of Synchro Monsters in his Extra Deck in order to make use of "Nekroz Kaleidoscope": the original forms of his "Nekroz" monsters. His ace monster is "Nekroz of Trishula". Sanokal K-T (talkcontribs) 23:32, December 12, 2015 (UTC)

a ritual user? not a lot of rp characters GO that routeDjt08031996 (talkcontribs) 23:50, December 15, 2015 (UTC)

Alfred Jager

Alfred was a foreign exchange student studying at a prestigious school in Heartland City. He survived the Invasion of Xyz Dimension, losing many of his fellows in the process, and joined up with The Resistance. He deeply regrets what the fighting forces him and his comrades to do, but is unwilling to just give up.

Design: Alfred is of average height and build. He has brown hair and a mustache, a quite-yet-powerful manner of speaking and wears glasses. His clothing is very simple; consisting of a black fleece jacket over a black and white tie die t-shirt, with dark blue jeans and black shoes. When talking with people he knows Alfred is unfailingly formal and polite, however when he is dueling he shows a darker, somewhat egotistical, side.

Duel Disk: Alfred has a black Xyz Dimension Duel Disk with a white blade.

Alfred plays a Burgesstoma deck focused on using numerous trap cards to summon multiple Trap Monster whenever he needs them. He backs his Burgesstoma cards up with a small Frog Engine and a few choice spell cards, most notably Wetlands and Reasoning. His Ace Card is Burgesstoma Opabinia but he also uses other powerful Xyz monsters like Sky Cavalry Centaurea and Cat Shark. --Venom assult trooper (talkcontribs) 01:50, December 16, 2015 (UTC)

Nice description, Venom. Possibly a red scarf given that he's a member of the Resistance?

Anyways, Secrets of Eternity character, and Crossed Souls character:

Mark Moore

Mark is a mysterious and sadistic Duelist who does not appear to be allied with any specific dimension. Instead, he exploits the conflict for his own desires and gains. He appears during the closing hours of the Battle Royal.

Design: Mark has a severe haircut and his face is marked with black tattoos. His eyes are red, and his skin is pale. He wears a black tunic that appears to be slightly armoured, and he carries a black Standard disk, but with an orange-sword blade shaped like a katana.

Mark uses an "Infernoid Deck" that focuses on Special Summoning his "Infernoid" monsters via the banishing of other monsters. His various monsters focus on a control strategy, while his more powerful monsters have aggressive abilities. Mark utilizes a large number of Spell Cards that send cards from his Deck to his Graveyard in order to fuel the Summoning of his "Infernoids".

Sophia Vivian

Sophia is another of the Senior class Duelists who was selected by Declan to test Pendulum Monsters. Declan intends Sophia as a secret weapon of sorts, and thus he has her distribute support cards to the members of other dimensions and the forces of the Standard Dimension. Sophia is intended as a Deconstruction of the Mysterious Waif-type character; in that she suffers through similar tragedies as the other characters and is confident in her strength rather than accepting that she is weaker.

Design: Sophia has tanned skin, black hair with purple streaks, and deep blue eyes. She dresses in elegant, yet practical clothes; a loose blue skirt that doesn't restrict her movement, dark tights, sturdy black boots, a pea-green shirt, and a black midriff-baring jacket. She carries a white Standard Duel Disk with a green blade.

Sophia uses a "Zefra Deck" that focuses on multiple types of Summoning supported by Pendulum Summoning, including not only Synchro, Fusion, Xyz, and even Ritual Summoning through the effects of her "Zefra" monsters. Due to the large number of different strategies that she focuses on, she includes search cards from all of the related archetypes. She includes copies of the ace monsters of many of her fellow Duelists that she has distributed "Zefra" monsters to, primarily "Chaofeng, Phantom of the Yang Zing", and "Stellarknight Constellar Diamond". Sanokal K-T (talkcontribs) 08:56, December 16, 2015 (UTC)

oh sweet, I've been curious how people would handle making a Zefra userDjt08031996 (talkcontribs) 19:52, December 18, 2015 (UTC)
Something that I may have not made as clear is that Sophia also gives Zefra cards to the appropriate Duelists. Sanokal K-T (talkcontribs) 00:37, December 19, 2015 (UTC)

Thank you for reminding me about the red scarf I completely forgot. Anyway here are two more resistance members. (Yes, I know both of these are normally number based decks and used in Zexal, and Arc V for the Ninjas, but these just seem like the kind of cards that the Duel Sanctuary, which I assume still exists in Arc V's Heartland, would give to its students. Neither of them actually have numbers.)

Castor Archer

Castor and his brother, Pollux, were training at the Duel Sanctuary when the invasion struck. Along with their master, the two of managed to hold off Academy forces for several hours before being overrun. However, the two of them managed to escape and later joined forces with the resistance. When dueling he is highly disciplined, but in non-life or death situations he is usually relaxed

Design: Castor is a tall teenager with brown hair. He wears a black, vaguely military, long sleeved shirt, has a large black clock, black dress pants and boots, as well as a red scarf tied around his left arm. He uses a gray XYZ Dimension duel disk with a black blade.

Castor plays a Battlin' Boxer deck that he got at the Sanctuary. His strategy focuses combining on Battlin' Boxer Lead Yoke (strangely the only Rank 4 Battlin' Boxer monster he could find) and Kaiser Colosseum to limit his opponent to one monster while he increases the attack of Lead Yoke through its own effect.

Pollux Archer

Pollux is the weaker of the Archer brothers, but he has grown a lot due to the invasion. He has learned to tolerate pain and loss better then before and has also become a much better duelist. With the help of people like his brother and Alfred, he really has the potential to become a great duelist. That is, if his recklessness does not cut his career short.

Design: Pollux is basically a shorter version of his brother. His outfit is a little simpler, lacking the cloak, and with gray dress pants. His scarf is tied around his right arm and he wields a Gold XYZ dimension duel disk with a Silver blade.

Pollux plays an Armor Ninja Deck that he found in the Duel Sanctuary. His deck focuses on Ninja "Pairs" that support each other like Upstart Golden Ninja/Ninja Grandmaster Hanzo or Earth Armor Ninja/Air Armor Ninja. He backs up his ace monster, Blade Armor Ninja, with various powerful Ninjitsu Art trap cards. --Venom assult trooper (talkcontribs) 05:06, December 20, 2015 (UTC)

I reckon that's fine. To be fair, Battlin' Boxers can function fine with just Lead Yoke, and Ninjas are hardly a Number deck. (Xyz isn't fully capitalized). Sanokal K-T (talkcontribs) 20:50, December 20, 2015 (UTC)

Kyle Zaman

Kyle is a member of Yankee Squad, a five man team undergoing intense Lancer training at LID. Highly intelligent, he qualified for, but did not participate in, the Arc League Championship. He started training at LID shortly after the end of the Championship and is eager to fight Duel Academy. However he is worried about both his eagerness and his anger.

Design: Kyle wears a pink T-Shirt with "Paradise City" written in black letters underneath a blue aviators jacket that has small gold shoulder epaulets, with light blue jeans and brown boots. He wears a "Yankee Squad" pin on the jacket's collar and has a green Standard Dimension Duel Disk with a yellow, parallelogram shaped, blade. On his Duel Disk he makes a small tally mark for each duelist he defeats.

Kyle uses a Jinzo deck that uses cards like Jinzo - Jector and Psychic Shockwave to summon his ace monster, Jinzo, early and often. His primary intent is to support his Squad-mates by blocking off their opponent's, especially the Obelisk Force, use of Trap Cards. However, he is capable of holding his own in battle thanks to cards like Jinzo - Returner and March of the Monarchs.

Mateo Villegas

Mateo is the "leader" of Yankee Squad. He is the best duelist on the team and rallies his squad-mates in tough times. He was already attending LID at the time of the Championship, but did not participate because he was busy with school work. Determined and hard working, Mateo will not rest until the threat of Duel Academy has been defeated

Design: Mateo wears glasses along with a green and white button up flannel T-shirt, black jeans and white track shoes. He wears his Yankee Squad pin on the shirt's upper left pocket and uses a gray Standard Dimension Duel Disk with a navy blue parallelogram blade.

Mateo uses a Destruction Sword deck that focuses on using Buster Blader, the Destruction Swordmaster to destroy his opponents monsters. He backs up this strategy with Buster Dragon, the Destroyer Dragon and, when pushed to the limit, can combine it with Buster Blader, the Dragon Destroyer.

Ethan Haar

Ethan is Mateo's best friend and came to LID at his request. Of the five members of Yankee Squad he is the most into the training. He is highly disciplined and observant, but is also quick to anger and can be distracted when he is arguing with his squad-mates.

Design: Ethan wears a black T-shirt under a regal, gray fleece jacket with glasses hanging out of the upper left pocket, blue jeans and polished black dress shoes. He wears his Yankee Squad pin like a cuff link on the right sleeve of his jacket and uses a black Standard Dimension Duel Disk with a yellow parallelogram blade.

Ethan uses a Black Luster Soldier deck that focuses on summoning Black Luster Soldier - Super Soldier and augmenting it with either Beginning Knight or Evening Twilight Knight. After the his super solider is destroyed he summons Gaia the Soaring Dragon Champion using the Gaia the Fierce Knight monster that it replaces itself with and Infernal Curse of Dragon.

Conrad Gregory

Conrad had it made, his family's connection to LID (his parents teach there) guaranteed him any place he wanted within the organization. However, after the Championship, he volunteered to join LID's Lancer training and was assigned to Yankee Squad. He is friendly but has a quick, sarcastic, wit that causes him to argue with Ethan often.

Design: Conrad wears a blue and white sports jersey like T-shirt with white pants and blue running shoes. Conrad also wears a blue baseball cap with his Yankee Squad pin on the brim. He uses a brown Standard Dimension Duel Disk with a brown parallelogram blade.

Conrad runs a Red-Eyes deck that uses Paladin of Dark Dragon to bring out any of his Red-Eyes monsters. He also uses Red-Eyes Tracer Dragon to bring back his Red-Eyes monsters that are destroyed by his opponent. His ace monster is Archfiend Black Skull Dragon, which he summons with Red-Eyes Fusion, but he is also able to summon Red-Eyes Flare Metal Dragon.

Jack Mondragon

Jack was a rouge duelist causing trouble in Paradise City before the Arc League Championship. Afterwords he was captured by an LID Top Team and given an ultimatum: train to become a Lancer or have his deck taken away. He chose to train and was placed in Yankee Squad. At first he had problems relating with most of the other members, except for Kyle, but eventually they all became decent friends. He is reckless and impulsive, but has become a devoted team player and will go to any length to protect his friends.

Design: Jack wears a green and white muscle shirt with white pants and shoes, and has his Yankee Squad pin on the end of a gold necklace. He uses a blue Standard Dimension Duel Disk with a white parallelogram blade.

Jack has a with Eyes of Blue deck that focuses on bringing out high level Blue-Eyes monsters. He prefers to get two Blue-Eyes White Dragons onto to field or into his hand in order to fusion summon Blue-Eyes Twin Burst Dragon or tune one of his with Eyes of Blue monsters with a level 8 monster to bring out Azure-Eyes Silver Dragon or Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon. --Venom assult trooper (talkcontribs) 04:05, December 26, 2015 (UTC)

Aaaand you've made a Blue-Eyes duelist. Big no-no. Red-Eyes, sure, but Blue-Eyes AND you call him Jack? Not the best idea for a character. Sanokal K-T (talkcontribs) 07:58, December 26, 2015 (UTC)

opps... forgot about Jack Atlas there for a second... --Venom assult trooper (talkcontribs) 17:10, December 27, 2015 (UTC)

... and the fact that in the Anime there are only 3 renaming Blue-Eyes White Dragon cards... Yep, big mistake. --Venom assult trooper (talkcontribs) 17:14, December 27, 2015 (UTC)
