Forum:Simochi vs Prime Material Dragon?

Let's take a situation in which player A has Bad Reaction to Simochi active on the field. Player B has summoned a Prime Material Dragon, and proceeds to activate Dian Keto the Cure Master. What happens? Do Simochi with PMD on the field cause an Infinite Loop? If they do, how is this loop dealt with? --Darth Covah 17:00, 15 August 2008 (UTC)

  • It's an unresolved issue. There are two possibilities: (a) either the two effects cancel each other out, and it's as if neither effect is on the field or (b) whichever card was activated last has its effect applied (like "Level Limit - Area B" vs "Final Attack Orders"). Personally, I believe it's the second option. --Deus Ex Machina 18:49, 15 August 2008 (UTC)

It would cause an Infinite Loop so you could not activate Dian Keto the Cure Master.Skavinger 15:53, 16 August 2008 (UTC)

Again, there's been no confirmation yet, so anything anyone says is speculation - including the outcomes Skavinger and I suggest.

The only precedence we have is the ruling on "Rainbow Life" vs. "Bad Reaction to Simochi", which states that "Simochi" wins. However, this has been left largely unexplained, and it's believed that this occurs since "Rainbow Life"'s is only lingering effect, so it may only be applied once (as opposed to "Simochi", which is a Continuous Effect, so it keeps re-applying itself over and over). This may be different for "Prime Material Dragon", since his is a Continuous Effect, so it will apply itself over and over.

For the question about "Marie the Fallen One", since there has been no word, then the judge decides. If you're not in a tournament, then you have to agree on something with your opponent. If both of you agree with Skavinger that it's an infinite loop (or if neither of you can agree on an outcome), then the duel ends in a draw. --Deus Ex Machina 00:39, 17 August 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for your help guys - situations like this might happen sometime - it is better if we are prepared. Thanks again! --Darth Covah 07:18, 17 August 2008 (UTC)
