History
Kiku was a friend of Takeru Homura. She tracked him down to chide him for continually skipping school, but Takeru claimed he never saw a point in it. After another fruitless attempt, they were walking through the market area when they saw Ryujiro and Kotaro Mizunuma's gang harassing another boy, and Takeru scared them away. The boy tried to thank them, but Takeru left without a word, and Kiku apologized to the boy, admitting that Takeru wasn't too friendly. Takeru then claimed to have heard a voice, though Kiku didn't hear anything. The next day, he asked to use her tablet, and they read about Playmaker, Blue Angel and The Gore, the heroes of LINK VRAINS. As Kiku got a call from Hana, Takeru had a trauma attacked and nearly dropped Kiku's tablet, much to her fear given its cost. Kiku was later kidnapped by Ryujiro and Kotaro, and the delinquents took her cellphone and told Hana to fetch Takeru. Takeru eventually showed up with his Duel Disk, and despite her pleas not to let Ryujiro provoke her, he accepted Ryujiro's challenge to Duel and told Kiku to leave and meet up with Hana.

Theodore eventually returned home, and three months after his return he took Kiku to LINK VRAINS, logging in as Soulburner with her. He showed Kiku around, impressing her, though Soulburner claimed that there was someone cooler than he was. Kiku wanted to meet him, but Soulburner explained that person was on a journey to find himself.
