Medusa Worms are character versions of the card "Medusa Worm", appearing in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Capsule Monsters anime.
The Medusa Worms reside in the desert in the World of Capsule Monsters.
History[edit]
A group of Medusa Worms attacked Yami Yugi, Joey Wheeler, Téa Gardner and Tristan Taylor when they began the Trials of the Capsule Monsters. Yami, Joey, Téa and Tristan summoned Dark Magician, Flame Swordsman, Dark Witch and Thunder Kid to battle the worms and succeeded in destroying a number of them. However their shear numbers and the sandstorm gave the worms the advantage. Yugi Muto figured that the worms were just a distraction and they needed to focus on their trial, silencing the "whisper that rides the desert wind".[1]
The worms spat slime on Joey, Téa, Tristan and their monsters, causing body parts to become petrified. A Medusa Worm attempted to attack Yami, but he was saved by Dark Magician who then carried him above the storm, where they saw the tornado responsible for the sandstorm. After Dark Magician destroyed another worm, Yami returned him to his capsule, as he could not risk losing him. The Medusa Worms continued to spit at Yami as he attempted to run to the tornado, unguarded.[1]
After Yami merged his Duel Armor with Dark Magician, Mystical Sand, "whisper that rides the desert wind", called forward a number of Medusa Worm to block his entry to the eye of the storm, but Yami quickly defeated them.[1]
