Mimicry |
Mimicry, known as Neo Monoma in the Japanese version, is a character appearing in various video games.
Appearances[edit]
Duel Academy[edit]
In Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Duel Academy, he is a teacher at Duel Academy.
Tag Force series[edit]
Mimicry appears as a special unlockable opponent in the Tag Force series.
Mimicry can be given any of the player's Deck Recipes to use in Free Duel Mode, as long as the player has all the cards needed to use that Deck Recipe, after the player duels him at least once.
From Tag Force 2 onwards, Mimicry becomes unique as a partner due to not having any cards set as favorites in the Decks he uses, allowing the player to build his Partner Deck as they please once they are able to edit his Deck.
Tag Force 1[edit]
Mimicry appears as a teacher, and he is unlocked by finishing 5 different storylines. He can only be found during the first day in Chancellor Sheppard's office, before class begins.
Tag Force 2 and Tag Force 3[edit]
Mimicry can be randomly found in the overworld paired with any other character after finishing 7 different storylines.
Tag Force 5D's games[edit]
Mimicry is unlocked by finishing 7 storylines. Once unlocked, he can be found in Tops as a Sector Security officer.
Tag Force 2 exploits[edit]
Setting the Downloadable Recipe #2 as Mimicry's Deck in Free Duel Mode was a method to obtain large amounts of DP and EXP in Tag Force 2.
Each Downloadable Recipe, and each Deck Recipe made by the player, is internally treated as a Level 0 Deck, and therefore gives no EXP and no Duelist Bonus. When giving either Downloadable Recipe to Mimicry in Tag Force 2, the game erronously sees the given Recipe as a Level 5914 Deck instead. The player earns 11828 EXP (Deck Level x 2) and a Duelist Bonus of 532260 DP (Deck Level x 90) each time they win against either of these Decks.
While the exploit can be performed with either Recipe, the Downloadable Recipe #2 is an easier opponent to defeat.
Gifts[edit]
The player is able to give Mimicry gifts. The following tables detail how much he likes or dislikes the gifts.
Tag Force 2[edit]
In Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Tag Force 2, Mimicry has the following responses when the player gives him a sandwich.
Rating | Sandwiches | Response |
---|---|---|
5 | (Your partner is really happy!) | |
4 | (Your partner is happy!) | |
3 | (Not much of a reaction...) | |
2 | (Your partner didn't seem to like it!) | |
1 | (You partner didn't like it!) | |

Tag Force 3[edit]
In Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Tag Force 3, Mimicry has the following responses when the player gives him a sandwich.
The localized version of the game reuses his responses from Tag Force 2, which are shared among all standard Duelist 3 characters. The responses below are translations from the Japanese version of the game, which has individual responses for each character.
Rating | Sandwiches | Response |
---|---|---|
5 | Wow, it's so good! I could have some more of these without a second thought! |
|
4 | It's pretty good! What's in it? |
|
3 | Thanks, best bud! | |
2 | Egh, it's not very good, no! What's in it? |
|
1 | Gah! It's pretty bad! I wouldn't want any more of this one... It's a pretty good example to not follow! |
