He was born on April 12, 1969 and is originally from Tokyo, Japan. He is the recipient of an honorable mention for the 1990 Weekly Shōnen Jump Hop Step Award for his work, Mahō no Trump (Magic Trump) and started drawing Yu-Gi-Oh! GX for V Jump in February 2006. Kageyama is a baseball fan and his favorite team is the Seibu Lions.[1]

He also mentions in his manga cracks that he dislikes Synchro Monsters and promised himself to never use one, as he prefers Fusion Monsters (namely "Elemental HERO" Fusions), much to his dismay when he found out that "Dark End Dragon" and "Light End Dragon" were going to be released as Synchro Monsters.[2]

Deck[edit]

In one of the manga cracks in Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Volume 7, he releases his version of Jaden's "Elemental Hero" Decklist as of May 2010.
