* Older [[Legal]] Pendulum Monsters with very high or very low Pendulum Scales usually had negative Pendulum Effects that reduced their ability to be used generically. Which Pendulum Scales are restricted has been relaxed over time.

** Usually, the negative Pendulum Effects involved preventing the player from Pendulum Summoning monsters that do not have a particular property, and the additional condition that the effect cannot be negated.
