Beginning with ''[[Duelist Alliance]]'' (Arc-V), Ultimate Rares changed back to the old style of foil where only the partial card image background is foiled, while keeping the foil on card edges, text box, attribute/card type, and monster level.
Ultimate Rares in the ''[[OCG]]'' changed in ''[[Rise of the Duelist]]'', where they began to use a Parallel-Rare-type foiling that covers the entire card, with the foil on the card image being a similar foil to Ultra/Super Rares. In ''[[25th Anniversary Rarity Collection]]'', this is considered separate from TCG Ultimate Rare and is referred to as '''Prismatic-style Ultimate Rare'''.
