1) If you have the old version of the card, you must use it by the new errata, even if it means ignoring what the old card says. So it doesn't matter if it's the errata'd version of the old version.

No, if Apprentice Magician is attacked while face-down, it's not a 'Summon'

2) No, face-down monsters don't Trigger.

Oh, no, not at all, some Unregistered Members are just troll and some do helping around the site. You're the one of the "Helpful Unregistered Users" to reminding us about this. I used to do that but, after D-Neos explained to me about the difference of IP users, now I am not doing that anymore, as there is a quote said "Never Judge the Book by it Cover", which mean that you cannot do by look at the "User Name" alone.
