Series cleanup

Is this really considered to be a series? They have nothing in common with each other other than having "Gardna" in their name. The only ones which have anything in common are the Shield Gardnas, and there are only 2 of them. Series pages are being made too often now. I personally agree with you about this page. Though many of the cards have a "defensive" effect, it's a weak link. This is a series page that seems to be going by the archetype definition. And I agree with that series pages have seen a somewhat unnecessary flux in creation lately. --Golden Key (talk • contribs) 10:37, June 17, 2013 (UTC)

Even so UltimateKuriboh, it doesn't really make them a series. It's like creating a series page because cards with "Wall" in their name are based on defensive tactics (which you'd highly expect from cards with "Wall" in their name). Series pages should idealy be for actual series such as the "LV Armed Dragons" and series that the anime has called a series such as the Fairytale cards. I would agree that this seems too indiscriminate to qualify as a series. As for the whole "recent influx" thing, keep in mind that this page has been on the wiki since 2009, so it hardly qualifies as "recent". ;) 「ディノ奴千？！」^{? · ☎ Dinoguy1000} 22:14, June 17, 2013 (UTC)

Ult: There's only two "Blooded-Oni" cards, unless a third was released?

Even so, I think the rule "3 members to be a series" should really be changed. Especially when all you can say about the Blooded Oni's is that they're Zombies and Xyz related (which can be placed into the trivia pages because what else is there to say? Any tips for them can go in their tip page) and they're just Zombie/Xyz tech, so a page focused on them isn't needed. Same with all series really... Most are either based off of having 1 word in their name similar and a weak link (like this page), or are made up of 3-4 members, which possibly deserves a page (like the aforementioned LV Armed Dragons), but no archetype navbox. I agreed, "Scarecrow", Blue version detached one from Xyz Monster and Special Summon a Zombie monster from the Graveyard, Red one greet a detach from Xyz Monster in order to increase a Level and 300 ATK of target monster while Yellow one is similar to Kagetokage but only to Xyz Monster, and can increase target Xyz Monster's Rank by 1 and ATK by 300 (identified to Red version). Also, all versions have ability to detaching a Material from target Xyz Monster in order to activate the remains of their effects. --iFredCat 23:23, June 17, 2013 (UTC)

The "rule of three" is occasionally corrupted from its intended use. It's not supposed to be "there are three members now, it must have a page". It was suggested because so many pages were being made for 2 cards that were in some way similar. Three was a minimum rule; you can get a good idea where a series is going with three members. And there needs to be a strong theme, as is not the case here. At least I gave out a list of those monsters. But yes, I agreed - they need some support cards to make the completely article, which they lacked right now. Also, Dinoguy had not aware of "Yellow-Blood Oni" just arrived to this site at first. --iFredCat 00:18, June 18, 2013 (UTC)
