any effect?

I classified it by the card type. Monsters with effect have "効果" (Effect) printed on card type. Gem-Knight Pearl doesn't have it, so it's a Normal Monster. Blackwings0605 (talk) 08:05, April 9, 2011 (UTC)

I'm not usually one to embrace the whole "plus one advantage" philosophy some duelists use to quantify the usefulness of a card, but an Exceed without an effect seems wasteful to me, no matter how strong its ATK and DEF are; without an effect to make any use of its Exceed materials, all Parl is going to do is hog his materials until they're sent to the graveyard by either it being removed from the field itself or an outside card effect, which really isn't a good position you want to find yourself in. At least with non-effect Fusions, Rituals, and Synchros, their materials are sent to the graveyard to be used however the duelist sees fit, but with an Exceed, the materials are stuck underneath the monster, virtually useless except for a card effect that specifically deals with Exceed Materials, so with the Exceed itself being effectless and the only other cards that can affect Exceed Materials being in very short supply, I don't see how this makes any sense. 66.228.109.2 (talk) 17:53, April 9, 2011 (UTC)
