Can I choose to not pay 700 LP and have it destroyed during any of my standby phases? -Zeek 207.119.181.21 19:16, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

Why is THIS forbidden [with a 700 life point cost per standby phase] yet Royal Decree is semi-limited? Zeek Aran 21:19, 3 April 2008 (UTC)

  • I would have to guess because it can't be easily destroyed(heavy storm, mystical space typhoon, etc.), where as Royal decree can. Dmaster (Contribs Count) 21:25, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
    • I guess because players can just negate the opponent's card during their turn, and not paying the cost to avoid being affected by the effect in the following turn. --Dragon Slayer (Contribs Count) 22:09, 3 April 2008 (UTC)

_________________________________ my guess why it's not banned is, you can choose not to pay. so if you don't have any magic cards to play, you lock him out of using them. then when it's ur turn & you draw/wanna play a magic card. you just don't pay & blow him/her away w/ what you have. _________________________________

The best way to describe why it is banned:

A Duel is on between John and Rory. Rory has Imperial Order face-up on his side of the field.

John's Turn: John activates Monster Reborn. Imperial Order negates Monster Reborn and destroys it.

Rory's Turn: By not paying 700 Life Points, Imperial Order is destroyed. Rory activates Monster Reborn. Rory Special Summons a monster. Rory rapes with 8000 Attack.

Rory wins the Duel.

Some cards like this: Curse Of Darkness Spell Reactor RE Plenty of others, but can't be stuffed.
