Number 39: Beyond the Hope's english name[edit]

Anyone know this card english Utopia name, because we need one in order to add it to the Utopia archetype?--im gay (talkcontribs) 13:26, February 23, 2014 (UTC)

... It doesn't have "Utopia" in its English translated name for that exact reason. It is not a member of the "Utopia" archetype. It is, however, a member of the "Hope" archetype. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 13:34, February 23, 2014 (UTC)
... But it does have Kibo'o on its Japanese name, so why it's not an "Utopia" monster? Thiviscar (talkcontribs) 13:37, February 23, 2014 (UTC)
Because it has "Beyond the" in the middle. To be an "Utopia", it must have "King of Wishes - Hope" withoput nothingin the middle. --XBrain130™X頭脳130」 13:51, February 23, 2014 (UTC)

Utopia Beyond would be a good and perfect name or the name you selected.--im gay (talkcontribs) 04:24, March 15, 2014 (UTC)

If someone from the Org is reading this, seeing as we have "CXyz Dystopic Barian" as the assumed English name for CX Barian, couldn't we change Beyond the Hope to something like "Number 39: Utopic Beyond" or "Number 39: Utopic Exceeding" ? It keeps the "Utopia" theme without it being from the "Utopia" archetype. HPZ - O.N.E. (talkcontribs) 20:37, March 10, 2014 (UTC)

WELP, scrap that, the real card's effect says that it is a Utopia monster now. Should we change it to "Number 39: Beyond the Utopia" ? HPZ - O.N.E. (talkcontribs) 13:52, March 11, 2014 (UTC)
I would wait for the Org's input on that, but if anything, make it Utopia Beyond. Although, it would also depend on if he would normally be treated as a Utopia or not in the TCG. They could either change the actual name, or keep a Non-Utopia name and keep on it: "This card is always treated as a Utopia monster". NMBRHNTR64 (talkcontribs) 13:58, March 11, 2014 (UTC)
I looked online, and it says beyond the hope.

I Have a Suggestion[edit]

Number 39's name is obviously going to be shortened when it comes out in English, so Beyond the Utopia isn't going to cut it, and it's effect clearly suggests that it's English name can't include the word Utopia anyhow. With those pieces of logic in mind, one would have to ask themselves; "What would be a match for Beyond The Hope?" In every religion, legend, etc., the one thing that follows utopia in terms of "what's next" is godhood. We can't use the word god for it's English name either, but I propose this: if the English name were to change, we call it, for the time being, "Number 39: Ascendance." Just a thought, but it could work. FAYAL (talkcontribs) 03:34, March 13, 2014 (UTC)

I'd just leave it to YGOrganization. And no, the TCG could easily decide to include "Utopia" in the card name and remove the "Utopia" monster condition from its text. (We also use "Hope" because technically this monster is a "Hope" monster). --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 03:40, March 13, 2014 (UTC)

Hope is the japenease name for Utopia, so it still counts. Its Hero Time! 03:58, September 4, 2014 (UTC)

No it doesn't. "King of Wishes, Hope" is the Japanese name for what English-speakers call the "Utopia" archetype. The Japanese name of this card does not have the Japanese term "King of Wishes, Hope" in its name, so it was not a "Utopia" monster (it only has the Japanese term "Hope" in its name). To get around this, they gave it the archetype clause "This card is always treated as a 'King of Wishes, Hope' monster". --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 04:40, September 4, 2014 (UTC)

Beyond Utopia[edit]

We don't know that the TCG will just change the name and remove the condition. I'd prefer to leave it as "Beyond the Hope". "Barian" had no corresponding archetype issue. We should strive to be as clear as possible in this sort of thing. At this point, the Organization has no plans to change the name, though that could change. What about the Archetype condition for this card?(Its Hero Time! 03:57, September 4, 2014 (UTC))
