Move[edit]

Being that the archetype only functionally exists in the OCG, could we move this back to "Hope", keep the "Utopic" page and classify that page and "Utopia (archetype)" as sub-archetypes of this one? Or should one of the pages be deleted? Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 01:08, March 17, 2016 (UTC)

I'm in favor of moving this back to "Hope". It's a comparable situation to "Ultimate Gem God". --Golden Key (talkcontribs) 19:50, June 2, 2016 (UTC)
I think the best interpretation is that this archetype is "Utopic" in the TCG, but support is also always for "Utopia" as well. It's basically the same situation as "Neos" and "Neo Space" (although there is no support for "Neo Space" on its own, but mechanically there could be), and the reverse of "Hole" and "Trap Hole" (where the merge is on the OCG side instead of the TCG side). Likewise, we also have the case of "Polymerization" and "Fusion" technically containing different cards in the TCG to the OCG, but because they are always supported together it's not an issue.
We've dealt with these kinds of TCG/OCG issues before, and the best way to handle it is to assume that the TCG is not creating archetypes that do not exist in the OCG. --SnorlaxMonster 05:45, June 3, 2016 (UTC)
We now have an even better comparison: "Chaos" and "Black Luster Soldier". "Black Luster Soldier"/"Utopia" is an archetype in its own right, but its also a sub-archetype of "Chaos"/"Utopic" in the OCG, so in the TCG they're always supported together. The best way to handle this archetype is to consider "Utopic" to be the TCG's name for the OCG's "Hope" archetype. --SnorlaxMonster 00:55, August 29, 2016 (UTC)

Sounds good. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 01:52, August 29, 2016 (UTC)
