One X or Two X's?

Does anybody know why there are 2 double "X" in this card name? Maybe it's an upgraded version of X-Saber.

I think it has 2 Xs because if a normal X-Saber has 1 X, Gatmuz (X-Saber Leader?) would have XX instead in order to represent his Leadership status. --SynchroDuelistAD 2009/4/4

Has anyone noticed that this doesn't mention non-tuners? So doesn't that mean that you can use 2 Tuners at the same time for this card e.g. Jutte Fighter, X-Saber Airbellum and The Trojan Horse (or something like that). --Trivi-AM 18:25, 20 April 2009 (UTC)

Can you Synchro summon 2 or more TUNERS to form this card? it doesn't SPECIFICALLY mention "non-tuners" but mentions "EARTH monsters", so, can you synchro summon 2 or more tuners if they're earth type?--33royward 15:14, October 2, 2009 (UTC)

its so strange... 1 tuner+1 or more EARTH monsters... more tuners? when i first got this card i hoped it was a rare typo card, but apparently they printed all these cards incorrectly. lol.

Gatmuz???

We already know the official translation of ガトムズ is "Gottoms". Unless there is an official source showing otherwise, why are we still using the "fanslated" name "Gatmuz"?  HHT   16:51, June 29, 2016 (UTC)

ガトムズ being a transliteration of "Gottoms" is fine. We should refrain from using fanslated names. HHT   14:12, June 30, 2016 (UTC)

Generally speaking, we should, yes. However, I'm being told by the Org that "Gatmuz" (ガトムズ) is meant to be a corruption of "Cadmus" (カドムス) which is not made clear by "Gottoms". Cheesedude (talk • contribs) 16:08, June 30, 2016 (UTC)

Ok, I can understand that but I still think that's a bit of a stretch. If you look at the names of the other X-Saber monsters (especially the Synchro Monsters), there doesn't seem to be any running theme that ties them together. It's all just a bunch of "cool-sounding foreign" names. As for "Gatmuz" appearing in a video-game before its TCG release, my opinion is that "Gottoms" is more official so it should be used for translation.  HHT   16:22, June 30, 2016 (UTC)

To be clear, I am not bringing "Gatmuz" being used in the early video games in as evidence here. It doesn't hurt, but video game names have always been a very mixed bag. In any case, we do need to document said video game names on the main card pages until the video game card pages are done.

The names of the Synchro Monsters are pretty random. In fact, the only other one I can come up with a plausible explanation for is "Wayne", which given the cowboy motif may be a reference to John Wayne. It should be noted though that "Gottoms" itself is the archetype's "boss monster" and such monsters often do get more thought put into their name origins.

Barring the "Cadmus" thing, I would be in agreement with you. Without context, I would have also been removing "Gatmuz" as the translation. Cheesedude (talk • contribs) 17:08, June 30, 2016 (UTC)
