User:Lady Blue/Character Decks
IMPORTANT NOTE: I do not own every card that is listed here. These decks are made by me in YGOPro, not in reality as of yet (with the exception of my Yusei Fudo-inspired deck).
This applies to each of the following deck lists: At present, each of these decks (aside from the one based on Yusei Fudo's deck) are only built in YGOPro since I do not yet own every card listed here. Any card that is written in bold and underlined text is a card that I do NOT have in my possession yet.

Yugioh! Duel Monsters[edit]
"Classic" Decks[edit]
These are decks that only use Normal Monsters, Effect Monsters, Union Monsters, Gemini Monsters, and Fusion Monsters to give them the feel of decks these characters would have used in the anime, as opposed to by more competitive character decks from this Era that include Tuner, Synchro, and Xyz Monsters. That is not to say these won't be any less competitive, consistent, etc. while being fun to play at the same time. Unlike my "Competitive" decks from characters of this Era, these decks may be limited to 50 cards instead of 40 cards [in the Main Deck].
As always, cards printed in bold and underlined text at the same time are cards I do not have in my possession yet. I build and test these decks in YGOPro if that is ever the case, while also taking cards I do have in my possession into consideration.

Para and Dox[edit]
Considering this is a combined deck of Para and Dox, this deck obviously revolves around quickly Tribute Summoning the tributes for "Gate Guardian" through "Kaiser Sea Horse" (treated as 2 Tributes for "Sanga"), "Whirlwind Prodigy" (treated as 2 Tributes for "Kazejin", and "Unshaven Angler" (treated as 2 Tributes for "Suijin"). To protect these tributes from Spells, Traps, and even other monsters, the deck runs a heavy line-up of Spell/Trap/Monster Effect negation Traps and a few battle traps.
To be more consistent, the deck also includes many means of Special Summoning the Tributes by sending "Kazejin", "Sanga", and "Sujin" to the Graveyard with "Foolish Burial", "Painful Choice", "Card Destruction", "Graceful Charity", and "Twin Twisters" to Special Summon them all at once with "Soul Charge", then immediately Summon "Gate Guardian" from the hand (or Deck) via its own effect or with "Gate Guardian Ritual". So far it's worked well against my other character decks.
"Prime Material Dragon" is in the deck only to counter the downside of "Axe of Fools" since it was not an unrealistic option (in my opinion). Para and Dox worked for Pegasus at once point, and they probably had access to any cards they wanted.

Bandit Keith[edit]
To be brief, this deck revolves around One Turn Kills involving "Barrel Dragon" or the Fusion monsters in the deck. (Note that I use the Anime version of "Barrel Dragon" in YGOPro that can attack up to 3 times during the Battle Phase, which when combined with cards like "Limiter Removal", "Metalmorph", and multiple copies of "7 Completed", can result in an OTK whether it attacks directly 3 times or not.)

"Competitive" Decks[edit]
By "competitive", I mean decks that include Tuner Monsters, Synchro Monsters, Xyz Monsters, etc. that did not exist during this Era of Yu-Gi-Oh, but fit the theme of the following character's decks (such as "Thunder End Dragon"/"The White Stone of Ancients" in a Kaiba Deck, "Ebon High Magician"/"Effect Veiler" in a Yugi Deck, and "Red-Eyes Flare Metal Dragon"/"Scapeghost" in a Joey deck).

Yugioh! 5D's[edit]
In this section, I will have card names printed in bold and underlined if I do not own that card yet. Also, my deck based on Yusei Fudo's deck is the only one I am making in real life due to already owning the majority of the cards prior to making each of these decks in YGOPro.
Akiza Izinski[edit]
This deck mostly focuses on quickly summoning "Black Rose Dragon" and "Black Rose Moonlight Dragon" through the effect of "Twilight Rose Knight", or "Tytannial, Princess of Camellias" through the effect of "Lonefire Blossom". Other than that, the deck also relies slightly on burn damage through "Blazing Mirror Force" and "Evil Thorn" (who also helps thin the deck by two cards), and using the opponent's monsters for Synchro and Xyz Summons through cards such as "Change of Heart", "Mark of the Rose", and the anime version of "Mind Control" that is a Trap Card.
Lastly, to representing "Black Rose Dragon's" effect, I decided to include a few Spells and Traps with destructive effects: "Raigeki", "Heavy Storm", "Blazing Mirror Force", "Bottomless Trap Hole", and "Dimensional Prison". The deck also has some control elements through "Predator Plant Fly Trap"; it gains levels quickly, making it impossible for any of my opponent's monsters to attack it successfully. "Pot of Greed", "Graceful Charity", "Witch of the Black Forest", and "Sangan" add consistency to the deck, buy allowing me to draw or search "Twilight Rose Knight" and any level 4 Plant-Type monster as quickly as possible to Synchro Summon "Black Rose Dragon". "Blue Rose Dragon", "Evil Thorn", and "Monster Reborn" help me maintain field advantage if I need to use "Black Rose Dragon's" effect for whatever reason.
The deck also has elements of a Burn Deck through "Seed Cannon", "Blazing Mirror Force", "Evil Thorn", and "Ring of Destruction". To get around the damage "Ring of Destruction" and "Blazing Mirror Force" can do to my LP as well while not straying away from the theme of Plant-Type monsters, I included "Predator Plant Moray Nepenthes" (whose effect increases my LP) instead of "Rainbow Life" or "Prime Material Dragon" that would prevent damage (and stop my "burn" cards from damaging my opponent, too).

Not really anything to add here that I didn't say to describe the past two decks, or even about "Power Tool Dragon", for obviously reasons. Any deck based on Leo's deck is pretty self-explanatory, really.

Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL[edit]
Kite Tenjo[edit]
NOTE: I have not seen any episodes of the Yu-Gi-Oh! spin-offs beyond the early episodes of Yu-Gi-Oh! GX when I was a kid, and all of Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's. I only know that Kite Tenjo and the Galaxy-Eyes monsters exist due to reading around on the wiki, and making decks (Blue-Eyes, mostly) with Rank 8 Xyz Monsters in YGOPro. That's about the only reason I've made a deck for this one character from ZEXAL, even though I have not seen any episodes from it yet.
