Namespace idea...

Hey.. I'm fairly familiar with the idea, I using it in my database program. The idea is great, I like the flexibility. Truthfully the random page idea is not really that important in my opinion, who really hits it anyways? I would be in favour of the change. I'll keep my eye out for the changes and help where I can. This would also make it easier to delegate specific parts of the wikia to different people to maintain since recent changes could be isolated for each person specific area.--Pcouw 14:46, 25 October 2007 (UTC)

GameBoy Duel Monsters Promos: Series 1

I haven't found much information about them, but according to this site, those were the Promotional Cards given with the videogame Yu-Gi-Oh! Monster Capsule GB. Each game included 3 of the 10 cards.

"Dinosaur Wing" is a monster that Mokuba Kaiba uses in the manga, on his duels of Capsule Monsters Chess. "Batty", "Red Scorpion", "Ironoid", "The First Lizard", "Demonis" and "Sonic Eye" are videogame-original monsters that made their first (and only) apparition in Yu-Gi-Oh! Monster Capsule Breed & Battle.

Those cards were made by Konami, but they aren't considered OCG cards. They were specially made for collectible purposes only.

Those cards are divided in two sets because they were released separately. As I mentioned before, Batty, Demonis and the others were given with the Monster Capsule GB game, but they actually appear in Yu-Gi-Oh! Monster Capsule: Breed & Battle. B. Skull Dragon, Hitotsu-Me Giant and the rest were included in the Platinum Edition of Monster Capsule: Breed & Battle, but they made their first videogame-apparition in Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters.
I don't know of any particular name for this series of cards, though. (First Edition), (First Version), (Special Edition) or some such variant might be appropiate, although (Monster Capsule)/(Duel Monsters) sounds good as well.

As for the different kanji, that's how the name of those monsters were spelled in some of Konami's first Yu-Gi-Oh! videogames, for some unknown reason.

Deck (Mostly Jaden)

  • I don't know why we have like 6 different anime-deck sections for Jaden and main-character Yuugi only has one. The fact Janime seperates his deck for all the seasons doesn't mean we have to so I'm just combining the decks together. (Save for a few.       • Seasons are the most accurate means we have on judging original Yu-Gi-Oh! Anime Decks. I wouldn't suggest using it for GX per se, but it holds a lot of weight in the original anime. Question

JPG -> PNG

I would use PNG only for self-scanned image, there's no point in converting JPEG images. As for long pages, the 32kb 'limit' refers to very old versions of IE, Mozilla, and Netscape that couldn't address more than 32k of data. Truthfully... it's a real pain the arse to change all my images to png... the size 400x580 was the originally agreed upon size between Narch, Two-Tailed and myself since it allowed a uniform database limiting the size issues that may occur with larger images. Changing things for the sake of changing things isn't truly benificial but if that's what Two-Tailed wants then I'll wait for his message. --Pcouw 02:29, 9 November 2007 (UTC)

I would like to point out the the png version of Felgrand has poor colour, not centred while the jpg version is better in those respects and represents a more true to life version.   • Hey whatever TTF wants.. but he'll have to continue without my help since there's no way that I'm changing my image database to png just cause it's a little better quality. We're not looking for perfection here just a site that has all the information in a uniform format, or at least that's what I thought he was looking for when I joined on. If we aren't displaying images larger than 400x580 then why would anyone want anything larger. Heck I'm willing to upload my entire collection at that resolution, with all the cards centred and colour as true to life as possible. The one thing I hate is change for the sake of change. Yes I agree PNG is better than JPG but truthfully who cares, who wants to go back and change 10,000 images to PNG or who wants to rescan the images at higher resolution. Acid Rain VS Acid Drain

Question here, but is Acid Drain the actual name of ??????? in English?
I'm aware that there is already a card called Acid Rain in the TCG, but in the OCG it's called ??? (Acid Storm).
This is a good example of the TCG not doing a good job translating the names from the OCG, but until the English name is officially revealed, won't it be a good idea to just leave it as the directly translated "Acid Rain" (without linking to the TCG Acid Rain), than leave it as the wrongly translated "Acid Drain"?

re: Card Destruction and Buster Blader

Card Destruction being listed as "Hand Obliteration" in Japanese is fine, as????means hand, and????means obliteration, elimination etc.
However, Buster Blader listed as "Bastard Blader" is wrong, since the Japanese name is identical to the English one regarding this card.

Those packs...

...are of Chinese Fake cards. Note that the blogger calls them ?????? (Pachimon ~ Cheap Imitations).

Anyway... It took me some time, but now we have an image with the backside of Bandai's cards: here. It isn´t a really good image, but its the best one I've found so far.

Unfortunately, the number of DDM-Card Images on the web seems to be quite limited, and none of the sites I've checked has an image of the backside...

I see the confusion he caused between you and Metros, well, I want to make this clear: the message left on my talk was set by another person who took my computer, I told him to never do so again and to avoid problems I gave my computer a new password. I told him to investigate Nightmare and Big Boss to found proofs about Nightmare 81 being Big Boss or they being different persons. The person is my cousin who is living wih my family right now. About the other things, you know how I am, I'm not a bad person, BB0 was my friend and there's no more relation than that, his editing style is very different as you may have seen, I don't want to lose your confidence on me.
