"Cage of Fire!" (灼熱の檻!! Shakunetsu no Ori!!) is the 246th chapter of the Yu-Gi-Oh! manga. In its first English printing, it was numbered as the 187th chapter of Yu-Gi-Oh! Duelist. In the 3-in-1 edition, its number was changed to match the original Japanese printing.

Jonouchi fights back against Dark Marik's Trap Cards with "Jinzo", but Dark Marik still has a few tricks up his sleeve.

Featured Duel: Katsuya Jonouchi vs. Dark Marik[edit]

Duel continues from the previous chapter...

Turn 7: Jonouchi
"Jinzo" attacks and destroys "Legend Devil" (Dark Marik: 3000 → 2400 LP). Jonouchi switches "Baby Dragon" and "Rocket Warrior" to Attack Position. As "Viser Des" is targeting a monster, Jonouchi can attack Dark Marik directly if he controls no other monster, so Jonouchi attacks directly with "Baby Dragon", "Rocket Warrior" and "Panther Warrior". Dark Marik activates his Set Spell Card, "Dark Wall of Wind", preventing Jonouchi from attacking him directly this turn. At the end of the Battle Phase the effects of "Viser Des" and "Helpoemer" activate; the effect of "Viser Des" allows it to attack "Panther Warrior", but it is not destroyed due to its own effect and its effect reduces the ATK of "Panther Warrior" by its own ATK ("Panther Warrior": 1000 → 500); and the effect of "Helpoemer" discards a random card from Jonouchi's hand.

Turn 8: Dark Marik
Dark Marik draws "Lava Golem". Dark Marik Tributes "Jinzo" and "Baby Dragon" to Normal Summon "Lava Golem" (3000/2500) to Jonouchi's side of the field. Dark Marik Sets a card.
