"The Entertainment Ends!" (エンタメの結末! Entame no Ketsumatsu!) is the tenth chapter of the Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V manga.

This chapter was first printed in Japanese in the July 2016 issue of V Jump, released on May 21, 2016, and in English in the May 23, 2016 issue of Weekly Shonen Jump.

The Duel between Yuya and Sora reaches a conclusion. However, at the end of the battle, a new mysterious enemy appears, who invades Yuya's head looking for his memories.

Summary[edit]

After having taken control of the body they share, Yuri continued the Duel against Sora Shiunin in place of Yuya Sakaki. Pitiless and efficient, Yuri takes his turn and completely destroys Sora's defences, and in addition reveals Sora's story - of Reiji Akaba holding his little sister's life hostage to force Sora to Duel - is nothing but a lie. Sora admits his lie, and in the process reveals his true nature as he sadistically turns the Duel around using his own Pendulum Monsters. In the Duel laboratory where he trapped his opponent, Sora had turned up the damage scaling on the Duel's Solid Vision system, and with inflicts massive physical damage to Yuri. Yuya takes up the relay again, determined to put an end to Sora's style of Entertainment Dueling. Unbeknownst to the two Duelists, they are being watched: not just by Reiji in the Leo Corporation tower, but by an unknown faction.

Yuya begins his turn and begins looking for the next Action Card. Sora notices it first and begins heading for it, flying on his Frightfur Daredevil. Yuya has taken too much damage and can't hope to beat Sora to it, and Yuto urges him to strike before they lose it. Yuya sets the Scale 1 Odd-Eyes Persona Dragon and the Scale 4 Odd-Eyes Phantom Dragon into his Pendulum Zones. With his Scale set, he can Pendulum Summon monsters from his hand or face-up Extra Deck from Level 2 to 3 at the same time. Yuya Pendulum Summons Odd-Eyes Mirage Dragon from his hand, as well as Enter-Mate Ballad and Enter-Mate Barracude from his Extra Deck. His monsters block Sora's path, preventing him from reaching the Action Card.

Yuya attacks Sora's Daredevil with Enter-Mate Ballad. Sora points out that his monster's 3000 ATK will crush Yuya's 500 easily. Yuya activates his Set Enter-Mate Show Up to double the attack of his Enter-Mate monster this turn, to 1000. He also activates Barracuda's effect. When a monster's ATK or DEF changes, his monster doubles that change in value. His monster's ATK is doubled again to 2000. The battle continues, and Sora mocks Yuya for not still not having enough power, and that now his own monster will be destroyed and he'll lose the rest of his LP. Yuya, however, declares that the fun starts now, activating Mirage Dragon's effect. He can negate any monster's destruction in battle, as well as any battle damage he would take from that battle. And he can use this effect as many times as the number of Odd-Eyes cards in his Pendulum Zones, meaning two times.

The attack continues, and Ballad is not destroyed, and Yuya takes no damage. After a battle involving his Enter-Mate monster, Yuya can use Ballad's effect reduce the ATK of Sora's monster by the ATK of that Enter-Mate. Daredevil's ATK is reduced by 2000, to 1000. Next, Yuya attacks with Enter-Mate Barracuda. He uses Mirage Dragon's effect again to prevent Barracuda's destruction and protect his LP, while also using Ballad's effect to reduce Daredevil's ATK by Barracuda's 500, to 500. Finally, Yuya attacks with Odd-Eyes MIrage Dragon. He activates the Pendulum Effect of Odd-Eyes Phantom Dragon in his Pendulum Zone to increase Mirage Dragon's ATK by the ATK of Odd-Eyes Persona Dragon in the Pendulum Zone. Mirage Dragon's ATK increases by 1200, to 2400.

The attack continues, and Sora realizes that 2400 ATK versus his 500 means 1900 damage, and his current LP count is 1900. As his monster is destroyed, Sora is thrown backwards, but as he flies, he manages to snag the turn's Action Card. Cursing the card's rotten timing, he activates the Action Card Big Damage to increase this battle damage by 1000, to 2900. At the Leo Corporation tower, Shun Kurosaki and Shingo Sawatari wonder what Sora could be thinking by increasing the damage he takes like that. Sora points out that Yuya took a roundabout way to defeat Sora that would cause his LP to fall to exactly 0, and in the increased damage settings of the Duel arena, avoid causing more damage than necessary to him. But Sora refuses to call this a kindness - nothing makes him angrier than an opponent holding back out of sympathy.

Sora activates the Action Card Chain Bonus to double the battle damage he takes from this battle, to 5800. At the tower, Reiji, Shun, and Shingo realize that with the arena's tripled damage output, the blast that strikes Sora will be as though he took 17,400 damage from a single attack. And if the Solid Vision system were to materialize something like that...

Sure enough, an explosion rocks the Physical Information Systems building, where the Duel is taking place. Sora is thrown from the building from the force of the explosion, his LP falling to 0. Elsewhere, in a strange place, a woman watches the Duel silently. On Sora's defeat, she declares that this is their chance. She instructs her companion, a man in a white mask, to retrieve Sora, and search through Yuya Sakaki's memories. The masked man tells the woman, Eve, that it will be as she wishes. As Sora falls, a voice calls out his name, and a portal opens beneath him. Sora falls into the portal, and is pulled through to the other side by the masked man, now riding a Duel Runner.

At the building, Yuya and Yuzu stare out of the hole in the building where Sora fell, wondering about his fate. At that moment, the damage from the Duel takes its toll, and Yuya collapses unconcious. Another voice in Yuya's head declares that he will take care of it from here. Yuya's Duel Disk crackles, summoning another of his Solid Vision constructs. Yuzu stands back as the Duel Runner construct materializes. Behind her, "Yuya" stands back up, complaining about how serious the damage is, but sure that they can make it back to the hideout. Yuzu turns to see that Yuya has changed again, and the new figure introduces himself as Yugo. Yugo wonders if Yuzu happens to be Yuya's girlfriend, but waiting for neither answer nor introduction, he advises Yuzu to hang on tight.

On the ground outside the building, Leo Corporation's armed forces, who were lying in wait for Yuya's reappearance, are shocked to see a Duel Runner shoot out from the hole in the building, carrying two people. Yugo and Yuzu half land, half crash onto the streets below, disappearing before Leo Corporation can process what happened. At the Leo Corporation tower, Shun and Shingo hear that both Yuya and Sora have disappeared, and head out to make sense of this and track them down. Reiji says nothing. He realizes now that he shall have to take care of this himself.

Back at the hideout, Yuya, in his own body, lies unconscious, recovering on the couch while Yuzu watches over him. Yuya's three other personalities hover as disembodied phantoms nearby, invisible to Yuzu. Yugo realizes with a start that he recognizes this girl from somewhere. Yuto explains that Yuya's memories are jumbled right now, so he hasn't realized the truth yet. Yuri, also recognizing her, questions how that could be possible, but Yuto tells him there's no time for that, as Yuya's injuries are a higher priority. Yuri apologizes for letting Sora go as far as he did, and Yugo tries to console him, telling him the enemy was tougher than they could have known. Yuri balefully tells Yugo that that sympathy is going to make him feel worse than he did before. Yugo starts to argue back, but Yuto tells the two to can it.

On the floor of the hideout, Yuri notices some loose wire start to crackle with electricity. Soon, the entire computer system built into the hideout is crackling, and Yuri realizes that someone is hacking into their systems. The electricity suddenly targets Yuya's Duel Disk, and rather than destroying it, seems to travel inside Yuya himself. Yuya's three personalities realize that this isn't an ordinary attack, and that someone is trying to invade Yuya's memories. Yugo declares that he'll go inside Yuya and intercept the intruder on his Runner. Yuri volunteers to go with him, but Yugo declines, saying he's too injured. Yuto volunteers instead, but Yugo declines him as well, as Yuto is a loud and annoying passenger. He assures the two that they can leave this to him.

Featured Duel: Yuya Sakaki vs. Sora Shiunin[edit]

Duel continues from the previous Scale.

Turn 6: Yuya
Yuya activates "Odd-Eyes Persona Dragon" (PS: 1) and "Odd-Eyes Phantom Dragon" (PS: 4) in his Pendulum Zones. Yuya Pendulum Summons "Enter-Mate Ballad" (500/1100) and "Enter-Mate Barracuda" (500/1100) from his Extra Deck, as well as Odd-Eyes Mirage Dragon from his hand (1200/600). He then activates his face-down "Enter-Mate Show Up", allowing him to double the ATK of "Ballad", and then he activates the effect of "Barracuda", allowing him to double the ATK of "Ballad" again ("Ballad": ATK 500 → 2000). "Ballad" attacks "Frightfur Dare-Devil", and Yuya activates the effect of "Mirage Dragon"; since there are two "Odd-Eyes" monsters in his Pendulum Zones, he can negate the destruction of monsters in battle as well as reduce the battle damage to zero twice. He activates the effect for the first time, preventing "Ballad" from being destroyed and reducing the damage to zero. The effect of "Ballad" then activates, reducing the ATK of "Dare-Devil" by its own ATK ("Dare-Devil": ATK 3000 → 1000). Yuya then attacks "Dare-Devil" with "Barracuda", with the effect of "Mirage Dragon" once more preventing battle destruction and damage, and the effect of "Ballad" reducing the ATK of "Dare-Devil" by the ATK of "Barracuda" ("Dare-Devil": ATK 1000 → 500). "Mirage Dragon" attacks "Dare-Devil", and Yuya activates the Pendulum Effect of "Phantom Dragon", increasing the ATK of "Mirage Dragon" by the ATK of "Persona Dragon" in his other Pendulum Zone ("Mirage Dragon": ATK 1200 → 2400). As he is blasted away by the impact of the attack, Sora obtains and activates the Action Card "Big Damage", increasing the damage he will take by 1000. Furthermore, he also activates the Action Card "Chain Bonus", doubling the damage (Sora 1900 → 0).
