"Head-to-Head Cards!!" is the forty-third chapter of the Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V manga.
This chapter was first printed in Japanese in 2019's issue 4 of V Jump, released on February 21, 2019 and in English in the Shonen Jump digital vault and the MANGA Plus by SHUEISHA website, on February 20, 2019.
With both of their God cards removed from the field, Yuya and Reiji must now use their own strength against one another.
Featured Duel: Yuya Sakaki vs. Reiji Akaba[edit]
Duel continues from the previous Scale.
Turn 6: Yuya
Yuya activates the Trap Card "Pendulum Match". Once per turn, Yuya can Special Summon a random Pendulum Monster from his Extra Deck, whilst allowing Reiji to Special Summon a Pendulum Monster from his Deck with an equal Pendulum Scale, however after battle, those monsters will be destroyed. Using the effect of "Pendulum Match", Yuya Special Summons "Clearwing Fast Dragon" (2500/2000), while Reiji Special Summons "D/D/D Supersight King Zero Maxwell" (2800/2500).
Yuya activates the effect of "Clearwing", negating the effects of "Zero Maxwell" and reducing its ATK to 0 (2800 → 0). "Clearwing" attacks and destroys "Zero Maxwell". Due to the effect of "Zero Maxwell", Reiji doesn't take damage as it was destroyed by battle. Due to the effect of "Pendulum Match", "Clearwing" is destroyed.
Turn 7: Reiji
Reiji obtains this turn's Action Card. Yuya activates the effect of "Pendulum Match", Special Summoning "Starving Venemy Dragon" (2500/2000) from his Extra Deck, allowing Reiji to Special Summon "D/D/D Destiny King Zero Laplace" (0/0) from his Deck.
Reiji attacks "Starving Venemy" with "Zero Laplace", activating its effect, making its ATK become twice the value of the monster it is battling (0 → 5000). "Starving Venemy" is destroyed (Yuya's LP: 4000 → 1500). The effect of "Pendulum Match" activates, destroying "Zero Laplace".
Turn 8: Yuya
Yuya obtains this turn's Action Card. He then activates the effect of "Pendulum Match", Special Summoning "Dark Anthelion Dragon" (3000/2500) from his Extra Deck.
Duel continues in the next Scale.
