Summary[edit]
Anzu clashes with the beautiful but sadistically strict Ms. Chono, and organizes a petition to change the school rules. But Chono's underhanded counterattack ruins the petition—until Dark Yugi steps in.
The school's beauty[edit]
Ms. Chono arrives to the Domino High school and had the inmediate attention of male teachers and students. Miho also admires her, but Anzu less so. Ms. Chono asks a female student about a key chain that she was using, telling her that it was against the school rules, and confiscate it. Anzu mentions rumor that Ms. Chono wanted to makes the rules even harder. The two friends are approched by their classmate Mayumi, who seeked advice.
Mayumi's love puzzle[edit]
Ms. Chono arrived to the principal office, throwing the confiscated keychain in the trash. She asked the Vice-principal about her proposal for a complete ban in the students personal items and more strit rules for the infractors. The vice principal tries to excuse himself, but Ms. Chono approached him and insisted in her proposal, and he relented, trying to flirt with her afterwards.
Meanwhile, Mayumi told Miho and Anzu that she liked Jonouchi Jonouchi and she wanted to give a present to him, and wanted to ask what he liked. Miho mentionated porn videos, but Mayumi complained that wasn't appropriate, so they called Yugi Mutou for ideas. He mentio nated porn videos too and Anzu asked again for a present that girl would give to Jonouchi. Yugi thought of games like the ones of his gradfather's shop.
In the afternoon of Saturday, the four went to Sugoroku's shop, where he recommended an old blank jigsaw puzzle that he used to win over Yugi's grandmother. The idea was writing a love message in the pieces and get the other person to assemble the puzzle. Mayumi liked the idea so much and bought the puzzle. She thought her message over the next day, Sunday.
Chono's nefarious actions[edit]
Meanwhile, Ms. Chono had her marriage meeting with a suitor, who was appealed at first with her. Chono wanted more praise from him, but a young boy, relative of his suitor, accidentally fell over her kimono. Chono becames angry and kicked the boy, revealing her nasty personality and disappointing her suitor.
In the Monday, Mayumi brought the puzzle to school to the happiness of Anzu and Miho. Miho proposed to left the present in Jonouchi's desk and Yugi offered to distract him.
Chono arrived to the vice-principal's office and discovered that her rule changes proposal was going well. The vice-principal asked her about her marriage interview, and she excused herself with a laugh, fleeing to the bathroom, where she had a tantrum, broking the window and kicking a bucket. She was angry at her rejection the day before, because she wanted to reject his suitor first, as was her habit.
In Yugi's class, Jonouchi arrived late, because he was spending much time watching Hong Kong action movies. Chono arrived soon after. When the class began, Jonouchi found the present. Chono noted this and approached him, asking about the cute box. Jonouchi replied that the box wasn't his. Chono decomissed the box and detroyed it in front of the whole class, to Mayumi's chagrin. Chono discovered the nature of the puzzle and assembled the hidden message:
"From the first time I saw you, You have always been on my mind."
Chono ridiculed the confession message and all the class laughted at it. Chono said that the message a distraction and a violation of rules, deserving a expulsion. Chono asked for the owner of the puzzle, and Anzu asked her to stop, that her intentions were mean. Anzu claimed ownership of the puzzle. Chono ordered her to came to staff room after class.
In the staff room, Chono kept reprobing the love message. Anzu said that it didn't cause any problems in class. She also critized various of the school strict rules, like forbidding part-time jobs. Chono was upset about her response and asked her to create a petition to change the rules, gathering enough signatures form other students. Chono gave back the puzzle but planned to ruin Anzu.
The failed signature petition[edit]
Unbeknownst to Anzu, Chono complained to other teachers about her supposed rebellion against the school's rules and lack of remorse. Anzu began the signature campaign to relax the school rules, thinking of work in her job freely. She made various posters and Yugi offered to help her.
Later, the posters were vandalized, with writings insulting Anzu. Anzu didn't take it seriously, but she was bullied by the math teacher (who was convinced by Chono's words). The signature campaign didn't have much success and Miho told Anzu of the rumour that the teachers were picking on the students that signed the petition. Anzu was still optimist about the campaign.
The next day she continued asking for signatories. Three boys were approached by her, but they replied that the rules were enough and begin to bully her, taking the signatures record and breaking it. Jonouchi saw this tried to defend Anzu and began to attack one of the bullies, punching him.
Chono took advantage of the incident and call Jonouchi, Anzu and Yugi to the staff room, where she reprobed the three, telling Anzu that she began the trouble with her campaign to change the rules and that she would be expelled. After this, Chono talked with the bullies, thanking them for their support in Anzu's attack and offering to clean up their rule-breaking records. Yugi listened the conversation and became angry, awakening Dark Yugi.
The puzzle's shadow game[edit]
Dark Yugi emerged and challenged Chono to a game. If he won, Anzu wouldn't be punished. If she won, Yugi wouldn't tell anybody about Chono plan with the bullies and would do whatever Chono wanted. The arrogant teacher was keen in see Yugi expelled, so she accepted the game.
The game was a jigsaw puzzle involving two mirrors and being blindfolded. Dark Yugi broke the mirrors and told Chono that whoever completed the entire mirror would won. Yugi gave some gloves to prevent Chono from cutting herself. Chono thought Yugi was stupid and began to cheat, removing her blindfold. However Dark Yugi told her that the game was a Shadow Game, where a severe punishment was given to any who violated the rules.
Chono happily completed her mirror and thought that she won but Dark yugi said that she used her position of authority to hurt Anzu and that she merely wore the "mask" of a teacher, hidding her hideous nature. Now her face would reflect her true nature. At the same time, Chono's facial makeup broke-up like a jigsaw puzzle, revealing a now ugly and old face (consequence of the Penalty Game). Chono was horrified and ran, crying. Dark Yugi said to himself that he prevent her not to cheat.
Later, Yugi and his friends discussed Chono's lack of action about their supposed punishment. Jonouchi asked about the puzzle. Anzu respond that it was a prank. Miho told Anzu privately that a second-year senior had confessed to Mayumi already and that Jonouchi didn't stand a chance anymore. Meanwhile, Chono began to use more make-up to conceal her face. Now the makeup would began to break anytime she began to act tyrannically, as trying to stop the relaxation of the rules by the vice-principal. She returned to the bathroom to put more make-up and complain about her new situation.
