The second card professor confronts Yugi.

Summary[edit]

As Yako Tenma sits in front of his monitors, a shadowed figure sneaks up behind him, their right hand reaching for "The Wicked Avatar". Without looking, Yako tells them to keep their hands off his card, and they simply laugh at being recognized; Yako comments that he spotted them by their "bad hand". The figure smirks, part of their unshaven face revealed, and asks about Yako's plan; Yako reports that Deschutes Lew was taken out. The unshaven man cackles as Yako adds that he knew Deschutes wouldn't be much of a challenge, with the man pointing out that Yako knew this when Deschutes was recruited. The man asks Yako why he's doing all of this, and Yako seems to be unsure why; as he picks up "The Wicked Avatar", his right eye bulges, and he suddenly remembers: the Duelist in him feels it, and Project R.A. requires the battles in order to proceed. The man standing behind Yako is revealed to be a resurrected Bandit Keith.

Outside the building, Dark Yugi, Jonouchi Honda open the entrance to the KaibaCorp headquarters. Yugi thinks back to Deschutes handing him the key card as promised before explaing that the building is divided into ten security blocks, with each one needing a key card to access it. Yugi questions if Deschutes is allowed to give him this info, with Deschutes assuring Yugi he is before he professes his respect for Yugi and wishes the group luck with the remaining twelve card professors.

As Dark Yugi, Jonouchi and Honda walk into the building with the door closing behind them, Honda suspects another card professor awaits them inside; Jonouchi is a bit too eager to face them, causing Honda to fight with him briefly over forgetting their main objective of saving Anzu. Yugi interrupts them as fog begins to waft around the floor, and a voice welcomes them to her Duel field; a woman in black clothing steps forward and introduces herself as Tilla Mook, their second opponent. Jonouchi wonders if they're outside as a graveyard appears, but Honda points out that it's just a Solid Vision hologram; Tilla explains that she wanted to make the field appropriate for her "master", who she claims sleeps in her Deck and will Yugi. Dark Yugi smiles, retorting that he'll make this barren field her master's graveyard.

Tilla then holds up her ante - the key card to the next block, while Yugi's is Anzu's "Soul Prison" as before; Tilla mentions that there is a $100,000 (or 12 million yen) cash reward out for defeating Yugi, and the "Soul Prison" card will be proof of that. her victory over him, and allowig her to get a cash reward. Jonouchi begins to wonder how much he's worth, only for Tilla to dismiss him with a snide reply of $10 (1,200 yen) before the Duel begins.

Tilla begins, drawing and Setting a card before Summoning "Blood Sucker" in Attack Mode and ending her turn. Dark Yugi draws, wondering if Tilla is waiting for him to attack, and Summons "Beta the Magnet Warrior", deciding to attack with "Beta" and destroy "Blood Sucker". Tilla calmly closes her eyes as her Life Points decrease to 3600, then activates her Set "Blood Curse", Summoning "Vampire Lady" from her Deck. Dark Yugi wonders if she's going to Summon a more powerful monster next turn, and Sets two cards to end his turn, daring Tilla to bring out her "master".

Tilla draws and warns Yugi that the card she calls her "master" takes over the field until the battle ends, calling him a "resurrected immortal". Tilla then Tributes "Vampire Lady" to Summon said 'master', "Vampire's Curse", and uses him to attack and destroy "Beta" with Razor Nail Blade (translated as "Vampire Claw"), reducing Dark Yugi's Life Points to 3700. Tilla confirms this monster to be her "master", and claims that he is immortal and won't go back to sleep until he beats Yugi.

Dark Yugi responds by activating his set "Soul Rope", paying 1000 Life Points to Special Summon the Level 4 "Gamma the Magnet Warrior" from his Deck. On his turn, Yugi draws and then Summons "Gazelle the King of Mythical Beasts". He activates the Spell Card "Union Attack" from his hand, combining the Attack Points of "Gazelle" and "Beta" to attack and destroy "Vampire's Curse"; due to the Spell Card's effect, Tilla takes no damage and Yugi cannot attack with any other monsters.

As Jonouchi and Honda cheer the defeat of "Vampire's Curse", Tilla reveals its effect: by paying 1000 Life Points, she can Special Summon it from her Graveyard during the next turn. "Vampire's Curse" suddenly emerges from her Duel Disk's Graveyard and sinks its teeth into her neck, sucking her blood and creeping out Dark Yugi, Honda and Jonouchi. "Vampire's Curse" gains 500 ATK from the Special Summoning effect, and Tilla draws and enters her Battle Phase. Tilla activates "Evil Eye of Coercion", which causes Yugi's monsters to kneel and allows her to attack directly with "Vampire's Curse", reducing Dark Yugi to 200 Life Points; she is confident that "Vampire's Curse" will finish Yugi off the next turn, no matter what he Summons.

Dark Yugi draws for his turn, and Tributes "Gazelle" and "Gamma" to Summon "Buster Blader"; Tilla just laughs at the idea that Yugi plans to attack "Vampire's Curse", as her "master" will just resurrect and get stronger. However, Dark Yugi activates his Set card, and Tilla is left in shock as "Vampire's Curse" is forced to his knees: Dark Yugi's Set card was "Bounce", which transfers "Evil Eye of Coercion" and its effect to his side of the field. Tilla stares, dumbfounded, then looks up to see "Buster Blader" looming above her; Dark Yugi declares that Tilla's "master" kneels to them as "Buster Blader" attacks, reducing her Life Points to zero and winning the Duel.
