Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL World Duel Carnival, known as Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL Clash! Duel Carnival! (遊☆戯☆王ZEXAL 激突!デュエルカーニバル! Yū☆Gi☆Ō Zearu Gekitotsu! Dyueru Kānibaru!) in Japanese, is a Yu-Gi-Oh! video game for Nintendo 3DS based on the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game and Yu-Gi-Oh! Official Card Game as well as the Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL anime. It is named after the World Duel Carnival, a tournament in the Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL anime.

It is the first Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL video game, and the first Yu-Gi-Oh! video game to be released for Nintendo 3DS.

Features[edit]

Localized releases of the game removed a large amount of content. There are no Duelist Profiles, no Ending Pictures, and no Device or Database modes. All Sleeves, Mats and Present Code items are unlocked from the start. The only playable characters are Yuma, Astral, ZEXAL, Tori, Reginald, Kite, Dr. Faker, Vetrix, Trey, Quattro, Alito and the player character.

Characters[edit]

The game's Duelist Directory lists a total of 80 characters.

Characters
  • Tier 1 characters (001 to 027) are the only ones with voice acting.
  • The player character is not listed in the Directory, but he is listed as Duelist 000 in Story Mode.
  • Kazuma Tsukumo, Mr. Heartland, Mayday Walker and May appear in story events, but do not duel.

Cards that are not in the OCG/TCG[edit]

There are 24 cards in Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL World Duel Carnival that did not have OCG/TCG counterparts at the time of the game's release. Cards that were later printed are bolded.

Starting Decks[edit]

Player Recipes[edit]

The player character begins the game with the Deck Recipes for the 3 following Decks.

Present Deck Recipes[edit]

These Deck Recipes are unlocked through the use of Present Codes in the original release of the game. The codes for the seventh to twelfth Recipes are also Card Set Codes - they allow the player to use its cards in the Decks of any character during their respective storyline, even if they would normally be unable to use those cards.

  • These 6 Deck Recipes are unlocked with the Present Code かりすまでっき530076 and they are named after the franchise's Charisma characters.
  • This Deck Recipe is unlocked with the Present Code らいとろーど520463
  • This Deck Recipe is unlocked with the Present Code ましんぎあ812296
