| Before, it was allowed to be Special Summoned when a Beast was destroyed by battle or by a card effect. This was rather good with a relatively low cost for high ATK. Now, they changed the ruling and it can't be used during the Damage Step, so destroying by battle won't Trigger its effect.

| Can be Special Summoned easily. Low cost to nuke the Field except itself. 3000 ATK. Double JD is just broken, especially when they can be returned to your hand with Beckoning Light. However, in the OCG with the new Priority ruling change, the increase of anti-Special Summon of high level/LIGHT (chaos) cards, and Lightsworns not topping much might have been the reason to unlimit this. Consensus seems to say this card should be banned, and Lumina should be unlimited instead.

This is probably why it was Semi, until '05 when destroying monsters with effects became more popular than battle, giving a very good way to circumvent its [[Flip Effect]]. It probably disappeared off the meta then, and so went back to unlimited.
