* This is a good deck filler card, as it essentially replaces itself due to its effect.
* This card combo's well with "[[Convulsion of Nature]]".
* This card also works well with "[[Emergency Provisions]]". Players are able to set multiple "Housekeeping", then [[activate]] all of them, [[chain]] "Emergency Provisions" and send all of them to the Graveyard before their effects resolve, with the best possibility is drawing maximum result being 12 cards drawn and returning 3 cards returned to the Deck.
* This card works well in decks where you do not wish to draw a particular card if that card is a [[dead draw]]. For example, "[[Vennominaga the Deity of Poisonous Snakes]]" is summoned by the effects of other cards and is useless in the hand. This could also be used in an "[[Forbidden One]]" Deck, since you don't want to draw cards other than Exodia parts, generally. Conversely, since they have no use in the hand, you can return the "Spirit Message" cards that work with "[[Destiny Board]]" back to the Deck as well.
** Another use is in an "[[:/Assault Mode]]" Deck by using it to make sure the "/Assault Mode" monster is on the bottom of the deck and therefore is deck– both making it harder to draw making it and more summonable from with "[[Assault Mode Activate]]".
* In Decks with three copies of this card, you can discard the first copy of "Good Goblin Housekeeping" for the cost of a card effect, letting you draw two cards the next time you activate it, instead of just one.
* Combo it with "[[Trap of Darkness]]" it's better when all 3 copies are already used up so that you can draw 3 new cards.
* You can activate this card and send it to the Graveyard with "[[Scrubbed Raid]]" when your opponent attacks to end the Battle Phase and draw an extra card with this cards card's effect.
* You can send multiple copies of this card to the graveyard at once with "[[Hand Destruction]]" or "[[Magical Hats]]"to boost another copy's efficacy.
* You can also use this card to keep monsters you want to replicate with cards like "[[Broken Blocker]]" and "[[Inferno Reckless Summon]]" out of your hand.
* This card could be used well in a "[[Lightsworn]]" Deck, milling ; after [[Milling]] 1 or 2 copies, then activating the third to will draw 3 more cards and return while still only returning 1.
* Use this card in conjunction with "[[Full House]] " to ease Full House's targeting requirements while boosting this card's drawing power.
* Once you have all three copies of this card in play, use [[Mask of Darkness]] and cards such as [[Book of Moon]] or [[Wind-Up Zenmaister]] to constantly recycle its effect and significantly boost your hand advantage.
* This can be helpful with the "[[Poker Knight|Poker Knights]], " as it can keep "[[Jack's Knight]]" in the deck while getting "[[Queen's Knight]]" and "[[King's Knight]]" into your hand faster. This will maximize the Knight's swarming abilities, as well as preventing "Jack's Knight" from becoming a dead draw.
* This card can be very helpful in "[[Metalmorph]]" decks, in case you end up with "[[Metalzoa]]" and/or "[[Red-Eyes Black Metal Dragon]]" in your hand, as they can only be summoned from the deck. You can return them to the bottom of the deck, keeping them out of the way until needed, and draw extra cards to boot.
