Each Duel in the Gate can be challenged using either the player's own deck or a Loaner deck, and most duels will yield Legacy Pack tickets on completion. The ultimate reward at the end is an Elemental HERO Stratos Duel Mate.
A Deck that uses "Elemental HERO" monsters to attack. Even if you're faced with a strong enemy who would be too much for your lone monster, the power of "Polymerization," which lets you combine your allies' forces, allows you to shoot for a comeback victory. You can also defend against attack from powerful monsters with "Hero Barrier" and then counterattack with "Skyscraper" in the next turn.
A Deck centered on "Ancient Gear" monsters. In addition to Fusion Summoning, you can use the combo of destroying your set "Statue of the Wicked" or "Geartown" with the effect of "Storm" to Summon a high-Level monster. Some "Ancient Gear" monsters prevent the opponent from activating Spell Cards and Trap Cards when you attack with them, so try and deal with any cards on the opponent's field that can be activated outside of battle.
This Duel recreates Jaden's match with Chazz Princeton after Chazz returns as the representative of North Academy.

"Elemental HERO" Fusion Monsters have some powerful monsters among them, but they require "Fusion" Spell Cards and Fusion Material Monsters, meaning they use up a lot of cards in your hand. When facing a tough opponent it's unavoidable that some of your cards will be destroyed by effects and battle. If you find yourself in a tough spot, the key is to consider each of your next moves and fight your way through.
A Deck that is based around "Armed Dragon" monsters that become stronger with each Level. The effect of being able to destroy monsters on your opponent's field is a powerful one, but if you use it haphazardly, you will run out of cards in your hand. Preserve your hand by sending cards like "Armed Dragon Thunder LV5" to the Graveyard for the activation cost.
This Duel recreates the Graduation Match against Zane Truesdale at the end of the first season.

It'll be easier to achieve victory in battle by using "Battle Fusion" against opposing monsters with high ATK. If activated when a card like "Elemental HERO Shining Flare Wingman" battles, you can inflict heavy damage to the opponent, including effect damage.
A Deck that uses "Cyber Dragon" as a key card to call forth powerful monsters from the Extra Deck. There are many ways to launch powerful attacks, such as the two attacks of "Cyber Twin Dragon" Summoned by "Power Bond," but attacking cards on the opponent's field haphazardly poses its own risks. Proceed through the battle while keeping reserves for later.
With the addition of "Elemental HERO Neos" and "Neo-Spacians", this Deck allows users to experience the new possibilities of "Elemental HEROes". There are many monsters in the Extra Deck which require "Elemental HERO Neos" as Fusion Material, such as "Elemental HERO Aqua Neos," so take advantage of effects like "Neo Space Connector" to Summon them to the field.
A Deck based around "Destiny HERO" monsters. Although the Level 4 or lower monsters have low ATK, they can turn the tide of the battle if a Fusion Monster or high-Level monster can also be Summoned. Make use of "Xtra HERO Cross Crusader" to add Fusion Materials or monsters you want to use for effects to your hand.
This Duel recreates Jaden's and Aster's combined efforts to defeat Sartorius at the end of the second season.

A Deck based around "Arcana Force" monsters. Use "Light Barrier," etc. to create a situation where you can control which "Arcana Force" monster effect triggers. While it's difficult to achieve, playing a high-Level monster like "Arcana Force EX - The Dark Ruler" can pave the way to victory.
A Deck that combines "Volcanic" and "Fossil." "Volcanic" excels at inflicting effect damage and destroying opponents' cards, whereas "Fossil" can Fusion Summon monsters with high ATK by using monsters in the Graveyard as Fusion Materials. Combine the strengths of each to defeat powerful enemies.
A Deck based around "Evil HERO" monsters. Fusion Summoning requires "Dark Fusion" or "Dark Calling," but if the effect of "Supreme King's Castle" is applied, it is also possible to Fusion Summon an "Evil HERO" monster using "Super Polymerization." Unleash the full power of these powerful Fusion Monsters!
In addition to being able to Summon "Rainbow Dark Dragon" by using "Advanced Dark" so that "Crystal Beast" monsters become DARK, this Deck has a number of ace cards, such as "Yubel" and "Phantasm" Fusion Monsters. The choices you make while preparing to bring out your ace card can mean the difference between winning and losing.
A Deck that incorporates "Roid" monsters, with a focus on "Cyber Dragon" and "Cyberdark" monsters. Although the majority of the Deck consists of Machine-Type monsters, there are situations where effects that treat them like Dragon-Type monsters, such as "Dragonroid" and "Rebirth Judgment," can be used to draw out the effects of some cards, so make good use of them.
A Deck that uses "Jinzo" as its ace card to block the activation and effects of Trap Cards on the field. When you can't Summon your ace card, keep the opponent in check by activating "Crush Card Virus" and so on, while arranging the key cards necessary for your Summon.

In addition to Fusion Summons using "Polymerization," this Deck lets you call forth various Fusion Monsters depending on the situation such as Special summoning using "Elemental HERO Neos" and "Neo-Spacian" cards. Play multiple Fusion Monsters by using "Miracle Contact" and "Miracle Fusion," which can make use of monsters in the Graveyard.
A Deck with a large number of high-Level ace monsters, with a focus on "Dark Magician" in particular. Not only can it be Special Summoned but it can also be used as Fusion Material. "Soul Crossing" can also use an opponent's monster for the Tribute Summon of a Divine-Beast-Type monster and is another useful card for dealing with your opponent's powerful monsters.
