Player A tributes three Level 3 or lower WATER monsters to Special Summon Poseidra, the Atlantean Dragon. Player B activates his face-down Solemn Warning, negating Poseidra's Special Summon and sending it to the graveyard.
If Poseidra's summon is negated, can Player A tribute 3 monsters later to SS from the graveyard? I would think you can, much like Treeborn Frog. Any objections? AnnoyingMacroPrick (talk • contribs) 02:15, October 22, 2012 (UTC)
- Yes, as Poseidra, the Atlantean Dragon is not Semi-Nomi.

Thanks! I had a discussion with this with a couple of friends and I thought I'd confirm my suspicions. AnnoyingMacroPrick (talk • contribs) 02:27, October 22, 2012 (UTC)
I have a question, if poseidra is special summoned by its own eff, since is a trigger eff that summons a monster (himself) and not a summoning condition like black luster soldier, can my opponent respond with his solemn judgment or thunder king rai-oh, or this is similar to reborn vs rai-oh?—This unsigned comment was made by 186.108.89.225 (talk • contribs) 07:23, November 1, 2012(UTC)
- On Talk Pages and Forum Pages, it's a good practice to sign your posts. You can do that by adding four tildes (~~~~) to the end of your post and it will automatically create a signature for you when you click 'Publish'. If you look at the page Poseidra, the Atlantean Dragon, you will see that it is not a Summoning Condition, it is an Ignition Effect. Now read the page Special Summon.

- Poseidra uses a semicolon, so it's an Ignition Effect, not an Inherent Special Summon, and neither Rai-Oh nor Judgment can negate it. Designless Square (talk • contribs) 00:08, November 2, 2012 (UTC)
