Attributes are essentially the "Elemental" groups for each Monster Card. There are different cards made to support each "element", and there are popular monsters of each kind. It is possible for a monster to be considered part of multiple attributes via a card effect, such as with cards like "Elemental Mistress Doriado", "Elemental Hero Electrum", "Light and Darkness Dragon", "Sphere of Chaos", and "Dark Simorgh".
EARTH | FIRE | DARK | DIVINE | LIGHT | WATER | WIND |
In Yu-Gi-Oh! The Sacred Cards, and Yu-Gi-Oh! Reshef of Destruction, there are four additional attributes, Thunder, Shadow, Dreams, and Forest. JANK is also renamed to Fiend.
