In [[Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dark Side of Dimensions]], he appears in a flashback when Ryou was four. Unlike the manga and anime, he attempted to buy the Ring from [[Shadi]] and was tested. The Ring rejected him and approved Ryou, and Mr. Bakura, along with everyone but [[Aigami]] and [[Sera]], was killed by [[Yami Bakura]]. Neither Amane nor his wife are mentioned.
