Tanner, Bolt

Bolt Tanner is a Duelist Construct of Bolt Tanner from the Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's series in the Virtual Dueling System. He is also the opponent that the player faced in Stage 11-3 of the 5D's Campaign mode in Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Generation. The player has to defeat him in a Duel in order to unlock the next stage and progress Campaign mode.

Appearance

As a Duelist Construct, his appearance is based on Bolt Tanner, and the outfit is what he normally wore when not participating in a Turbo Duel in the Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's anime series. The two vertical slash mark on both areas near Bolt's eyes is a criminal mark which indicate that Bolt is a criminal who have committed crimes in New Domino City.

Etymology

His given name "Bolt" comes from the term "bolt" which has multiple meanings and connotations. Bolt could comes from either bolt, a form of threaded fastener with an external male thread, a lightning bolt, or bolt defined as to escape, or burst of speed. His surname "Tanner" is a occupational name for workers who uses tanning which is a process on treating skins and hides of animals to produce leather.

In the Spanish version, he is simply refers to as "Tanner", and his given name "Bolt" was omitted.

Rewards

There are a total of six rewards that the player can earn and received after defeating the Duel Construct in a Duel. The first two rewards are cards that come from the Duel Construct's Deck and the third reward is a recipe for their Deck. Then the fourth, fifth and sixth rewards repeated the same process of the three earlier rewards, but in a harder difficulty with a different Deck. In addition, the sixth reward will allow the player to have the Duel Construct's avatar and the ability to Duel them anytime between the two difficulty.
