• This card can be searched by "Legend of Heart", "Timaeus the Knight of Destiny", "Chaos Space", "Fusion Reserve", "Fusion Conscription", "Isolde, Two Tales of the Noble Knights", "Infernoble Knight Captain Roland", "Soldier Gaia The Fierce Knight", "Exchange of Night and Day", "Iron Knight", "Chaos Zone", and other generic searchers.

• Use this card's last effect to target a monster like "Marshmallon" or "Obnoxious Celtic Guard", ensuring that this monster doesn't get destroyed by battle (which it likely will, if this card's effect was activated in the first place).

• As this card is always a Dead Draw, cards like "Magical Mallet" and "Trade-In" can allow yourself to draw new cards until "Legend of Heart" can be activated to Summon this card.

• If this card is targeted for an attack by a non-DARK monster, target "Ally of Justice Catastor", so the opponent's monster will be destroyed before damage is calculated.
  • Another option would be to use "Blackwing - Jin the Rain Shadow" for a Synchro Summon (such as "Catastor") and later target it with this monster's effect. It will destroy any monster with 2800 or fewer DEF without calculating damage. In certain situations, this is more beneficial than using "Catastor" (such as against a DARK monster).

• If this card is attacked by a more powerful monster, target a monster in your Graveyard with an ATK-boosting effect such as "Enraged Muka Muka", "Gren Maju Da Eiza" or even "Slifer the Sky Dragon" to increase this monster's chance of winning the battle.
  • Alternately, one can also target "The Wicked Avatar" to absolutely ensure that the ATK of "Hermos" will be higher than the opponent's monster (unless the opponent of "Hermos" is "The Wicked Avatar").

• Keep in mind that this card's name becomes the targeted monster's name until your next End Phase. It doesn't just acquire its ability. This card can be used to your advantage by using cards that require specific monsters to be in play such as "Photon Stream of Destruction". However, since a Normal Monster cannot be targeted, cards like "Burst Stream of Destruction" cannot be used.

• If one of your other "Legendary Knight" monsters was destroyed previously, they can be targeted and their effect can be used to Set a card from your Graveyard.

• If this card was protected during the turn it is attacked, "Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning" can be targeted in your Graveyard to be able to use either its banishing effect to get rid of a problematic monster your opponent has or even get two attacks off.

• Since this card becomes the name of the targeted monster, "Timaeus the Knight of Destiny" cannot be Summoned during your turn if this card's effect is used. However, since "Hermos" remains a Warrior-Type, "Legend of Heart" can be activated to Tribute it and bring it back with its original name.
