- Yugi Muto first used this card against Arkana to discard his Dark Magician, which Arkana had cheated in order to draw in his first hand.
- Yugi Muto uses this card in his Tag-Team Duel with Seto Kaiba against Lumis and Umbra. Due to Mask of Restrict, they were unable to tribute in order to summon high-level monsters, but Seto found a way to surpass that by goading Yugi into sending both their hands to the graveyard with Card Destruction, only to play Monster Reborn and special summon Blue-Eyes White Dragon onto the field. A few turns later, Beast of Gilfer, whose effect was activated when sent to the graveyard by Card Destruction, destroys Lumis and Umbra's The Masked Beast.
- Yugi used "Exchange" against Joey, when Joey was possessed by Marik. Marik told joey to take "Red-Eyes B. Dragon", but Joey resists and took "Card Destruction" instead.
