- "Crystal Beast Ruby Carbuncle" belongs to Jesse Anderson and first appeared in Episode 106.
- In addition, Jesse is the closest with this monster as it is his duel spirit and lovingly nicknames her "Ruby".
- Unlike the other Crystal Beasts, Ruby Carbuncle doesn't speak (in either version). She meows "Ruby" in a cute voice in both versions (similar to how Jaden's "Winged Kuriboh" simply calls out in a cute growling fashion).
- In the dub, this card's ability is called "Ruby Rampage". While in Japanese, it's called "Ruby Happiness".
- In the anime, Ruby could automatically Special Summon itself to the Monster zone when they were 4 or more Crystal Beasts in the Spell and Trap card zone, including Ruby.
